Jonathon needs to stop designing classes. - Druid Feedback

"
Just did the act 1 boss and... yeah. Weakest I've felt on a character since launch of early access. The LOOK of druid is cool. The IDEA of druid is cool. But this is so incredibly underwhelming and clunky that I'm just flat out done until they release some updates.

Big ole yawn, this one.

im crushing campaign with druid, you have to consider its a new class with zero guides, ppl dont know what to do with it
This is what happens when people that use guides all the time try something without.

Just wait for a guide from someone, then you will see what you did wrong.
P.S

I am a Dog and i will just drop my load and leave on to the next post
I'm going pathfinder as my start. I'll roll a druid as my 2nd char. I'm not really into the shapeshifting fantasy but I do want to give it an honest try.
I agree with the OP — the Druid feels bad to play, and this is a bigger design issue that needs to be called out. A lot of it comes back to Jonathan’s design philosophy bleeding into places where it doesn’t fit.

First, the class just feels slow, and slow in a way that isn’t fun. Even the “fast” wolf form doesn’t feel fast. Strung together animations that are too long for the damage they do and low movement speed. That pacing might work for some builds, but it completely misses the mark here.

Second, it’s not thematic. A werewolf should feel agile, fluid, and aggressive. Instead, the fantasy falls apart because the gameplay doesn’t match the identity. Nothing about the wolf form feels like you’re darting around or overwhelming enemies.

Third, the forced form-swapping playstyle is tedious. Constantly morphing just to throw a spell, then morphing again to attack, then morphing again to do something else feels like busywork. That kind of complexity should be an option for players who enjoy it, not a requirement baked into the class.

Not everyone wants a Souls-like, methodical experience for every class. Different playstyles should exist, and right now it feels like everything is being forced into the same slow, deliberate mold — even when it clearly doesn’t fit.

oh no, the people who never play melee are mad that they are bad at melee again
dude wants to zoom at 100% movespeed with druid in act 2
MASSIVE skill issue lmao
10 minutes after playing the game. lol
Who is this Jonathon?
So instead of actually getting better at the game by solving your own issues, you come on forums to blame shift on the devs?

I am personally not playing druid, the Djinn Ascendancy is just too much fun, however from what I've seen from people who actually are playing pure shapeshifting, they are destroying the game.

So yeah, looks like a YOU issue, not a game or design issue.
