PoE 2 servers are restarting now. They should be back up in approximately .

4 months cycle development is not working

"

3 month cycle turned into 4 months into 1 year into maintenance mode and back into 4 months.

And the change from a 3 to 4 month cycle has been one of the best changes not just for players but also for the devs since they had a lot of more time to push out better leagues. What we have now shows that less time results in somewhat rushed patches. The current league is good but imagine if they had full 4 months time for that, not just 2. But if we give them 4 month people will start to complain about longer leagues, even if it means that the patch quality would be a lot better.

This thread is a true testament that some people will never be pleased and use any fault they can find and point at as an excuse to be judgemental like this.

Pretty much this. Even with the game being back in it's cycle people find things to complain about.
Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

Some people need to realise that "I don't like the current league" or "I don't like the direction PoE is going right now" does not equate "the devs don't care about the game anymore"

"Don't [necessarily] equate..."

I still like PoE. I am still playing it. Still enjoying it. But do I feel their passion for the game in the patches? Does it feel to me like they have a plan going forward? Have we really seen an endgame rework making the game better since freakin' "War For The Atlas"?

I also play FC25 from time to time - and somewhat enjoy it with friends (and some drinks), but you will never catch me sitting here praising EA just because I happen to like one of their games. Sure, it's the best football game on the market, but I don't think there's much passion to it between all the $. You know what? "EA could still be worse".

That's fine dude. I quit many games that I felt like they just weren't for me anymore, or where I had the feeling that it wasn't made for people like me. Invest your time into games that you resonate with

Wow, I was hoping that people would be wanting the old cycle of 3 months in Path of Exile 1 since 4 months is a bit too long for me. But I understand why GGG went the extra month. Another 2 months? Crazy talk.

people wanted more content updates more game development, nobody wanted to play more often into a half baked leagues with underdeveloped and lazy put together content, with lacking endgame and no real viable atlas farming strats

everyone i Know is unsatisfied with 3.27 league and while some people quit earlier than usual, others did not even play, and others thought of skipping 3.28 already, because they see that the game is not getting the deserved quality updates
certainly worked before PoE2 development got into the picture.

Might just be the year of bad choices by game devs lul I see lots of other games making questionable choices mostly in the name of changing stuff just to change it. It may come down to what company makes the least bad choices in the gaming world lul.
I have to agree with some of the posts.

For me, personally, this was not an enjoyable league. I equate it to Synthesis, which I quit after the first weekend.

I played this one as I like getting all my challenges.

The league felt unpolished; by that, I mean removing Breach to add Breach was not particularly original.

The new PoE2 trailer - Druid, I almost fell asleep, the movement was so slow. I am not talking about zoom zoom, but just watching the walkthrough was painful—my personal opinion.

The new PoE2 trailer - League felt like Synthesis.

I think the cycles between PoE & PoE2 are hurting the creation of good content. To be honest, I think both games are hurting as you are splitting resources.

As Albert Einstein so eloquently said,

Any man who can drive a car safely while kissing a pretty girl is simply not giving the kiss the attention it deserves.

Please stop driving your PoE2 car & start kissing PoE.

Thanks!
I am not Anti-Social, I am just selective on whom I wish to be social with.
Poe1 has always had a horrible community, who can't stand to play the game for 3 days before whining about when the next league will come. Is it any wonder they're moving on from it and looking for something new.

And I think the complete opposite. Drive and enjoy your amazing new Poe2car and get that Poegirl out of the car.

I'd put Poe on maintenance mode, restarting or repeating leagues already created and voted on by the community, and dedicate all resources to finishing Poe 2. And when Poe 2 is released with version 1.0, if it's in their best interest, they can do something about Poe 1.

There have been many years of content in Poe; it's time to move forward with the new game. Adapt or die, it's that simple.

GGG doesn't have enough staff to maintain both games at a high quality, and Poe is hindering and slowing down the development of Poe 2.
LMAO see how that will keep working out for business if more keepers like league rolls with the poor resources they gave to poe1.

The worst league ever in retention. Lets see how "shh let them put more on poe2" works out when they keep releasing keepers v2/v3/v4.. the other game literally has nothing for monetization, it's a paid alpha with no endgame and tons of flaws. If anything it's poe1 that is keeping the ship alive for the other game

My cynical side of me is already wishing that they follow the "just throw all resources on the other game" just to see everything burn down
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."

Poe 0.2/10

Returning to poe in 3.27: ATROCIOUS game performance, 5/10 league and I apprently missed the loot back in the last league. The more things change the more they stay the same..
