PoE is a PERFECT game for me. Why the need to break down everything and make new things and call it a PoE game. I don't get it.

This is an oxymoron. The game is PERFECT by your own words. Play standard league, no improvement to the game is required. Why does the current league matter?

Who is forcing you to play poe2? You have offered no useful criticisms. You pretend to know how the company works.

Because they will kill PoE1 eventually and I will either be forced to play Rollslop2 or find a new game.

And frankly, I'd rather find a new game than playing that rootless Rollslop2.

Have you ever thought about WHY sequel games are made? This comment here is shockingly off-center. Much like the intense hatred you have for PoE 2 simply because a non-mandatory dodgeroll exists, your thinking is exceedingly shortsighted and on the surface.

The MAIN reason for any game, ever, to be made....again in the form of a sequel is to IMPROVE or CHANGE things in the previous title that didn't work (in the developer's opinion). It's literally 99% of the reason for their existence.

The other 1% is, of course, money. But PoE 1 was and is still making piles of money. It's a live-service, regularly updated game designed to be forever playable BECAUSE it makes money forever. That wasn't WHY PoE 2 was necessary to the company: PoE 2 was necessary because they looked at PoE 1 and decided they wanted to do something DIFFERENT.

They have been spelling that out since 2019.


There isn't a single gaming company in the world that is interested in making a SEQUEL that's just a straight up copy and paste of the previous title, simply because it shares the name, lore, and genre.

Imagine if the Hollow Knight community came out and said "Hollow Knight was perfect, why make Silksong?"

Can you imagine that?
