Patch 0.4.0: Deadeye Tailwind No Longer Granting Movement Speed
" No one is saying that. We just don't want the brain-off, mindless lawn mowing simulator that is POE 1 combat. I swear half of you guys that are constantly talking about Souls-likes have never even tried one. It's like most of you don't play any other genres and have only played D2 and POE 1 for the last 20 years. Your opinions are usually extremely warped and you're usually not very well informed about other games or other genres and tend to just make things up and wildly speculate about things you know little about. |

" No one who played this league would seriously say this. Some characters have been reaching up to 160%+ movement speed this league. There were many sources of it. It's been possible to get 65% movement speed (or 70% just on lich due to low life mechanics) on boots alone in 0.3. And that's not even mentioning the many attack-based movement builds, like Tempest Flurry, Whirling Slash, Molten Blast, etc. that people were using that are even faster than movement speed based builds. The game is not slow after 0.3. It's just not as cartoony/arcadey/mobile-game-like as POE 1, which is way too fast and generally has been widely criticized as having relatively poor combat (seriously, combat is one of the weakest aspects of POE 1, and a lot of that has to do with the extreme power creep and extreme speed of the game). Besides, the reason so many people chose Deadeye is because of the hype around content creators' opinions at the beginning of the league. It's not the movement speed. It's brainless people copying what they see as the most popular thing online. No other class or ascendancy has access to an extra 10% that easily. That's why people are saying it's too strong and bad for the game's balance. This is an early access game. We're giving feedback about the balance of the game. [Removed by Support] [Removed by Support] The point of early access is to give feedback, especially about the balance of the game, which is not in a good state right now. I really don't think Tailwind is the determining factor for why people are choosing Deadeye. Melee still feels bad, lightning arrow's clear speed is pretty dominant compared to most other skills, and Deadeye still gets good options for bosses too. Removing a conditional, up-to-10% movement buff wouldn't be enough to dissuade that choice.

" Noone said that removing Tailwind will fix game balance but at least is a start. For me Dead Eye should be nerfed to the bone. OR other classes should be buffed to Dead Eye's level. But guess what! GGG always prefer the easy way... |

" I have played several of them. Im pretty sure you can count on one hand the number of times there is more than 3 enemies on the screen. The games are not compatible at all. Yes I exaggerated the lvl 1 rolling slam part but the 5 combo for white packs I did not. It has been said repeatedly. It has been posted countless times about how combos and "meaningful combat" should be on every pack. Every pack should be dangerous etc... It is not us that is warped and not well informed about other games. Basic knowledge would show you that to make one the other, its no longer the previous. They would need to nerf pack count and pack size by 90% for this stuff to work. Tweak all HP and damage values/scaling in the entire game. Redo 90% of the skills and gear etc... Abyss, breach, ritual, expedition, etc... all removed. There is no world in which PoE and Souls Like can coexist in the same game because it would require removing all that makes PoE to make it Souls Like which means its not PoE anymore. |
