I don't think I can do this every 3 to 4 months., the campaign is just too long.

The more I've done the campaign the quicker I've been able to get through it, that coupled with us having more access to crafting means the campaign is not really that long to get through anymore.

It's kinda rude to suggest the only ones who can keep up with the current campaign are only streamers and unemployed. I work full time and I like the idea that each new league the campaigns first run is a little slower and then next characters tend to zoom through due to having gear stockpiled. But my first run of the campaign this league wasn't even close to 60 hours. I got some friends into the game and this league was their first ever run of campaign and they did campaign in half the time. Although they did complain still of the act 3 maps feeling tedious, so they could do with some pruning still I think. Those friends didn't touch trade either so they ran campaign with gear they made themselves.

Too many ppl with the opinion the game only starts in maps, no.. the game starts at lvl 1 in campaign and progression in campaign matters. Esp for those players who just do the 1 character a league and are pretty casual. The campaign is the most enjoyable part for a lot of people. Pruning it down to almost nothing so you can boss rush your way to maps would suck.

Nah campaign is the best part of this game.

Act 2 and 3 might need some adjustments though, a bit shorter and should be a bit more linear. Kinda hard to find next progress area.

If they give you an option to skip campaign, then the game will turn into a slop just like D4. If you think people having fun mindlessly farming helltide and upgrading their gear every 2 minutes until max level, you have no clue about arpgs.

Even the d4 fans are mad over this, they don't want blizz to listen feedbacks all the time. Because people like you are everywhere who don't understand anything from the games they play and ruin these games with their feedbacks.
It is not about being able to do it "faster" the more times you play it.
It's they add more acts, every one seems to be much bigger than the previous one and you end up playing an adventure game instead of an ARPG (which, sorry to disappoint many ppl, it really begins when you reach maps).
Maybe this is THE VISION, converting it.
Some of the new players in poe2 maybe like that.
I'm not and I guess most of the ARPGs fans are not.

I am almost sure that the big percentage of the guys enjoying the campaign are not playing too much end game after finishing it and/or they don't play too many alts (based on friends i know).

This is just my opinion and feedback, I am not trying to convince any other player of anything.

Where exactly is the difference between killing stuff and killing stuff?
In how fast you are getting to experience and test the build idea, which many of them work when you have lots of items and passives, meaning... end game :)
Until maps, you just play something, most of the times totally unrelated to the build you have in mind.

So you're not talking about a campaign skip, but a leveling skip.

People can share items between chars. Way faster leveling this way.
“Waaaaaaah! The game I enjoy playing takes too looooooooong!!!!
Waaaaah!”

🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Need to write a thesis someday on the correlation between overstimulated dopamine receptors, cognitive dissonance.

Have you ever heard about the concept of efficiency?

Where and what exactly is said 'gatekeeping'?

Because you can't even provide a clear argument why they should not let you skip.
Because it devalue the campaign? No one takes your campaign away, it's still there. I am pretty much sure they gonna add new acts in the future and it become even longer. You can have your 20-50 hours campaign experience. It's fine as long as it optional. Many of us comes to the same conclusion that the game should provide alternative method of leveling. Without story roadblocks, more streamlined, compact, faster. The same 1.5 year old complains still in the air because the current campaign is too long for something that is MANDATORY every time with every new character. You can do this you can do that. This is not the solution, this is a trying to patch a clear design flaws.
"YOU NEVER GET A SKIP, BECAUSE JONATHAN SAID, YOU NEVER GET A SKIP" There is so much stuff Jonathan said before that have not been realized or abandoned in the process of development. The same goes about THE VISION™. How it became a mantra of twisted words which half of them are not even true. Thats where the gatekeeping coming from. The real part is they look at the data. Data shows everything whats work and what doesnt. Being stubborn and make decisions like as if Chris Wilson holds gun over your head 24/7 will eventually hurt the game in the long run.
