You wrote some crap about "the vision" and gatekeeping, but you don't explain what kind of gatekeeping or what is being gatekept.

You must complete campaign on league start, it's just part of the game, no alternatives.

If GGG allows 2nd/3rd characters to bypass campaign it would make pretty much everyone starting up on the same class / build just to rush through campaign and then create another more preferable character for maps.

On the other hand, going through campaign 2nd time is a lot easier since you have access to more currency, gold and some uniques able to speed it up significantly.

If one have very little time to play and it takes many weeks to go through campaign then I would seriously consider playing on standard.

If you take 60 hours to beat the campaign, the endgame isn't for you, but that's by design. The same can be said for crafting. If you can't farm a few dozen divs every few hours then anything regarding crafting isn't for you in poe 2. That's by design.
