Anti-Scam Feature for Trade Market

There is no win-win solution for behavior like this because the very nature of how the whole game is designed. Players want instant gratification, which means if I have XX amount and want to buy A, then I should get item A without waiting or hindered by other factor. This behavior already exists before merchant tab, and now with merchant tab, it become a race on who is faster.

The easiest solution is to just put a confirmation button before buying it, but it will only breed a new problem for those meta-cuck speed runner that want to buy stuffs instantly. Those that have better internet connection, faster loading time, will win in the race of "who gets to click first"

Personally, I would choose to leave merchant tab as is but adding a confirmation button before buying as an optional setting is also welcomed. Those speed-is-king folks will disable this option anyway, so I can still exploit other people stupidity.
Large currency icon overlay on the item image would solve this issue. You could instantly spot a scam.
happened to me today

I bought a tablet from a chinese guy through instant trade

Then I saw he's offering white heavy belts for 44 Exalted Orbs
About 10-15 he had. So I started to buy them.

Then after like 6 Belts I ran out of Exalted Orbs.

I traded 1 Divine for Exalted. To buy the rest of the belts.

Then on 1 of the Belts as I clicked it I saw it was 44 Divine. Yeah RIP.

The chinese guy was in the hideout.
I started to talk to him. He didn't respond but walked around between stash and Ange. He sure damn well collected them 44 Div with a smile or a laugh.

Then suddenly as I kept messaging him, he did respond with a '?'.

Then asked me 'which?'. As of 'which 44 Divine' I was talking about.
A true scammer. Not a mistake.

I kept messaging. Suddenly he used the ignore feature on my whisper. And left the hideout.

Yeah cool it's 'my fault' for not checking every item 10 times for price like an idiot. I get it. Thanks.

But this system isn't perfect either.

You GGG could invent a feature that prevents scams like this.

For example: Everytime you *buy multiple items, which your game should recognize, you should have a system up and running that kind of 'scans' the trade

transactions from the background. And when your system notice that there is something fishy like, you have the same item multiple times but suddenly the

currency type changes, especially when it goes from something like Exalted to Divine, it should give you an alarming message/notification that you have to confirm, if you want to buy said item for that and that currency.

This is only one idea. There are a million ways to solve this, other than just 'you as a player need to check better what you buy'.

Other than that, and that you have to teleport to the seller's hideout all the time, the system is pretty good and appreciated.
Poe 2 back again. New trade system not flawless but still good.
Need search save option for market panel.

That is why I keep all my valuable currencies in a basic tab, and when I trade I only take EXACTLY what is needed.

It's not a scam on this guy you described, he proposed 100 time the value for a quick trade and you clicked without thinking because you trust too much people in a competitive environnement.

Is it nice ? no.
Is it fair ? sadly yes it is.

Accept the L, make it a lesson for the future and that's it.
just read, these threads getting old lol

I don't think that you understand the meaning of 'scam' or 'scammer' or 'being scammed'.

It's funny how you describe his action though. 'He proposed' haha. As if he and the whole world doesn't know and understand what he did and that it is a scam.

It's not 100 times the value. It is more than 1000 times the value. From 44 Exalted to 44 Divines. Calculate it. For the same item, exact same, no different mod or anything.

I already accepted the loss. But people like you who don't even know the meaning of 'scam' make me sick.

And downplay it like it's a damn catplay or something.

The guy was in the hideout with me and even respond to my request of trade reversal, then blocked me.

If there is one person on earth that doesn't accept nor understand that this is a 100% clear scam, then I must curse that person.

Maybe GGG can create a "training wheels" item in the microtx shop when toggled on it creates a series of questions when you buy like "are you sure you want to buy this item for XXX?", "are you really really sure?", "ok if you're really really really sure then buying will be unlocked in 60 seconds" etc
