0.3.0b Patch Notes

whirling slash is gutted, i cleared the first room in my map and alt f4ed as this is awful. i'll keep an eye out for 3.0c or whatever and maybe come back then.
taking stuff away mid-league is really annoying, i invested in a random monster i found with a haste buff but it had 1600 life instead of 2400 or so, the investment was higher dps for a loss of life, now i have a minion i invested in heavily which has less life than its counterpart, the same dps as its counterpart but its counterpart has much more life.

fella's im so tired, please don't do this one again.

Even if the movespeed were halfway between pre-patch and post-patch, and even if movement were reverted to 0.2.0 state it would be fine. Why nerf this niche build when lightning arrow players are clearing faster, at lower investment, with less effort and better at bossing anyway? Clearly anti-fun decision making.

I don’t know whether you realize that your current actions are repeatedly betraying the players. To be honest, I don’t expect you to actually read this—I have no such illusions. Still, I feel the need to share my experience.

Since version 0.1, I had been using the COF system. Unsurprisingly, it was soon nerfed—to the extent that builds centered around it still aren’t viable. I remember when it was weakened, I had almost no currency saved—not even enough gold to reset my passive tree. But back then, I still had some passion for your game, so I was willing to spend four hours replaying the story just to earn enough gold to re-spec.

Now, in version 0.3, I built a character around the “FLASKS USE TO NOT CONSUME CHARGES” mechanic. I invested a massive amount of currency yesterday to make it work—only to see it get nerfed today. I can accept balancing changes—but what I can’t accept is altering core equipment after the league has already started. It makes me feel like the ideas I carefully planned before the league are being trivialized. Right now, I truly feel betrayed.

Sure, I’ve accumulated enough currency now. I have the gold to rework my build. But what I’ve lost is the passion I once had—and that passion has been crushed once again by you.

This has made me seriously consider quitting the game and reflecting on your intentions. I no longer believe you respect the implicit trust between developers and players. At this point, at least for me, all trust is gone. I won’t spend another penny on this game.

I hope someday you can reconnect with your original vision—though honestly, I’m not holding out much hope.
Whirling Slash was a bit too nerfed imo. You just needed to nerf the people using it to instantly move across the map. I used to use it just to move between packs and keep tailwind and offensive buffs up now it just doesn't move. I can understand some people going crazy with it but I wasnt even faster than sprinting going a fairly more "ethical" build. Why not just undo the changes/bugs made in .3 to the skill instead of making it worse than it was in .2. Just scale back the high end part of the attack speed or cap the attack rate, wouldn't be the first time.
