Separate keys for DODGE and SPRINT please
|
I would like to have sprint taken off of dodge roll. Because of this function i would say that more than 80% of my deaths have been from trying to dodge roll from mob packs (not intending to sprint) only to get immediately death stunned. This is a horrible mechanic for melee up close combat characters.
Please give me the option to put sprint onto a different button. Then if i want to sprint i will press the button myself. |

Having to roll before sprinting is bad design. Why should we need to perform a separate action before the intended action? Imagine if we had to roll before using a flask—that would be even more ridiculous. The current sprint mechanic must be some kind of test, or they didn't have time to implement it properly.

Fully agree to separete. It doesn't acceptable to play like this: you wanna roll from mobs, but you start to run and mobs kill you. Please separet!

Yes please!
I am trying to use Mirage Archer and I HATE that I have to use or maybe prolong it's cooldown only cause I want to start sprinting. Edit: This is also imo not a change that can/is fine to wait until next big update but a thing that should be changed asap. Last edited by arcticfangs#4720 on Sep 7, 2025, 11:44:27 AM

I don't want them separated. I think sprint is perfect the way it is.
But I want others to enjoy it as well. Give us an option to bind Sprint to a separate key, but if it doesn't have a keybind, it should default to Spacebar or whatever the dodge-roll keybind is. Also if we press & hold space to sprint during dodge, can you please make it so it immediately transitions to a sprint instead of queuing up another dodge? It's kinda dumb and a slight annoyance. |

it being in the same keybind is bad.
Having no slider of activation delay is bad. Sprint isn't that great and I'd like more travel skill options + Blink being 60 spirit instead of 30 is just insane when you factor in the cooldown. |

First to the people saying it’s fine and learn to dodge:
Not every keyboard is made the same. Not everyone’s hands work the same. Not everyone sits the same in relation to their keys. Not everyone learned to type the same (which is a HUGE component). Second, this season’s theme for me so far has been janky untested crap. I got up early a couple hours ago and thought I’d play before getting ready for work. I thought I’d run some lower maps like T 10s or something to breeze through. Something relaxing and easy. First map was the trial of chaos map. Down one of the corridors an abyss was there with the mobs and two of the freezing laser guys to the right and left. I’m using a quarter staff so I tried to run up to get them. In the middle of the corridor was a big circle of the green cubes so I’m attempting to avoid those and get to some of the mobs. My character would not roll correctly trying to get to them. It kept repeatedly attempting to sprint. I died twice to this and couldn’t figure out what was going wrong. What I didn’t see was the depths hole in the middle of the floor that was covered by ground effects. I couldn’t see it and had no idea that’s why my dodge kept clipping. And when trying figure this out trying to dodge, I kept sprinting and falling only to to the freeze lasers. Twice. I gave up on that out of frustration and started the map that’s in act 2 with the fire monster. The archways where mobs can shoot through them but as melee, you have to go through the actual doorway to get to them. I’m almost pure evasion so I always rolling around avoiding projectiles. Another bottleneck sprint to die. Good morning to you GGG. Fix movement speed, allow us to disable sprint (which I only intentionally use when the huge maps are empty), or allow us to rebind it. Tired of getting killed by jank. This isn’t even bringing up the die by sprint during bosses on maps. Last edited by Skyvortex#7923 on Oct 16, 2025, 10:24:29 AM

+1 yep, feels clunky and undercooked in it's current iteration.
