Armour Stacker, ES Stacker etc. need to be removed from the Game - Change my Mind
" What? You have to be joking now. If I add the simple "unobtainable apart from stackers" (which was implied) it is literally the same thing. Even if I take your exact wording: it is simply NOT TRUE that there is any gear in the game that is so expensive that only stackers can afford it. You are trying to save your poor point by even poorer wordplays, like what. I guess at this point this thread is moot. You never wanted others to change your mind as it seems, as you defend your position with teeth and nails even on the most lost points. Sad. Here is another point why stacking needs to stay: It brings versatility into endgame damage scaling. Take it out and we are left with added and more damage, pen, crit and attack/cast speed. Game becomes incredibly boring. With stacking we can utilize charges, life, mana, ES, Armour, Accuracy and therefore find angles to scale builds further (hence its endgame builds). For certain build types those scaling options are the only way to make them viable by the way. So to sum it up: I am glad that people that stubborn and frankly wrong dont make balance decisions. /closed. |

As for your argument, I will say I can see where you are coming from, at the same time I can say that I feel it adds more restrictions and dependencies rather than freedom. We don't need to rely on "boring" stats for builds. We used to get major mechanical twists, allowing for entirely new builds. I'm not sure that X per Y fits into that category, even if technically true. Look at Eye of Innocence, for example. Literally build enabling and not at all busted. Doesn't rely on a particular stat per sé, and it doesn't give you anything other than enabling new mechanics. I will say, however, that stuff like this has been sorely lacking in recent years. ur average armor stacker. youd need something like 150-250divs for mageblood depending on the league and another 50div for rest of the gear. dmg is very good but survivability is kinda okish only due to fact you have enough dps to oneshot most of the mobs. |

" Don't forget that the survivability primarily comes from the mageblood itself at that level....which any build in the game can get. And max resistances which also...pretty much any build nowadays can get. These layers aren't solely the realm of armor stacking: they are practically ubiquitous. If you want actual defenses on an armor stacker, armor stacking gear would require clusters and items that are up in the hundreds of divines EACH. And even then.....its armor: while its good, it can be shut down randomly and through many different mods. A lot of power, a lot of limitations, a lot of cost. And even on the top end you are still dealing a fraction of the damage of MANY other builds that don't stack. Still plenty, but worth comparing. please explain to me how es stacker winning hc ssf gauntlet doing uber content day 2/3 is okay? remove or nerf iron reflexes - that's enough of a nerf for armour stackers. Downside is non-existent at this point. If you want to armour stack and not a single item you are wearing is armour/hybrid armour based means the balance is bad. remove energy blade from the game - it's been broken for far to long and it's clear you can not balance it so just remove it. Nerf EE to 5-10% or just straight up remove global increased energy shield from it. Invert the values on escape artist. ES for evasion on helmet and evasion for es on body armour. Also remove bonuses from soul drinker - leave it at leech is not removed. Slayer do not get flat leech from his ascendancy or any offensive bonuses so why should trickster get it? Coruscating Elixir - why is it still not nerfed? Change increased duration to lesser duration, also it should consume all charges on use. There is no reason for it to be so broken when only alternative is a pretty mediocre chest piece.
