Placebo. PoE doesn't even utilize half of the default shade cache size, which is 4GB. Also none of that is responsible for your or the games networking. It's actually hilarious with what kind of "solutions" people are coming up to "fix" unrelated problems. Bravo.

See my reply and other forum proof.
Bro you're restarting your game and got better routing. Your shader cache is not responsible for your latency in any given shape or form. Don't be ridiculous.

I have the detailed stats up. F1 key. My latency was going was 21ms spiking to over 200ms frequently. Gameplay choppy, sound choppy, tried VPNs all different servers, all the same.

I'm going on 24 hours without a hitch with the shader cache fix. I'm not the only one. While I would have never guessed it would be related, I found more, so stop:

That happens when you're on Lockstep with a shitty connection. Has nothing to do with your shader cache.
I can't even get the Nvidia control panel to stay open for long enough to do anything in there. XD

I hate PCs.

Bro, I've worked in networking for over 20 years. I tried a new NIC, new drivers, reboots, different servers, VPNs, even a new router. Nothing worked until I found this. It's been rock solid ever since.

So you fixed an issue that was due to your PC being bad. Good for you.

20 years in networking and you truly believe a games shader cache size is connected to latency spikes and packet loss? Sure thing brother, sure thing. Hit me up, I want one of those jobs 😂

What's next, downloading more ram and water cooling your ethernet cable?

hoho the ole shader cache "fix" , good luck with that.

Nonsense. My shader cache has always been set to unlimited, because I have the storage capacity, and it makes no difference. As someone else already said: placebo. Root cause unknown, so people are searching for random correlations.
