Its not the same situation, because unlike in LoL, where you have few "timed" skins and hundreds of normal skins, GGG has ONLY timed supporter packs. If people would know they can get skins from supporter packs whenever they want, less people would buy them. There is a reason FOMO is one of the most used marketing strategy ever. As for jellyfish portal - it was part of settlers league mystery box, so it will be in store once new mystery boxes will be releases in next league. They aren't saying GGG has time-limited nothing other than supporter packs. They are saying that GGG has no permanently available supporter packs; that the only supporter packs they do have are time-limited. Technically speaking, one could "well, ackshually" them with the First Blood pack - but it's a bit of a meme of a pack and I've never bothered buying it. Having spent thousands of euros on Path of Exile over the years, I will not be further supporting it financially until and unless GGG resumes offering Technical Support.
