Upcoming Plans for Patch 0.2.1

Did you know that if boots have no movement speed modifiers they are trash by default? Consider buff all unique boots to have at least 25% speed.

The number of real-time online players has dropped below 20,000. The legendary items in the endgame are disappointing in usefulness, and the BD is severely lacking. Every player is just using Electric Spear.

One note I've had since the beginning: if a monster is going to cause a ground effect on death that is potentially/always fatal to exiles, why not have this be much more obvious on the ground surrounding said monster (particularly rares, but in general)?

As an add-on to the above: why not also parse game data on death to have more detail in the chat long than "<playername> was slain?" It would be nice to learn from deaths in a more permanent and beneficial way. Perhaps "slain by <monster name/type> (<cause of death, such as explosion, melee hit, elemental hit, etc.>)."

Again, thanks for the constant updates. We long-timers in the PoE universe know that your game will be the ultimate ARPG when it's finalized, and look forward to playing along the way.

Ever considered remove every uniqe from drop table and introduce uniqe shards which you can exchange for any uniqe ? Isnt that a better idea ?

the peak in last 24 hours was 34 000 players only on Steam plus another 20-30k on here this makes at least 60k players in total.
Yes, i agree its not what was in 0.1 but still is not 20k as you said.

Crafting Socketables

One of the issues that we have with the socketable crafting system at the moment is that by the time you get to the endgame there isn't really anything new or exciting to find to socket in your gear. Resists and attributes are great to help with solving problems in the early game, but in the endgame, ideally you should be swapping all of these out for more interesting and powerful mods.

In 0.2.1 we are adding 22 new Runes, 14 new Soul Cores and 7 new Talismans. These cover a full spectrum from being powerful to insane, but are rare to find. You will certainly want to use them over the normal base set of socketables.


There is another issue, I'm in early maps, and struggle to get runes I need, namely resistance runes, or %increased physical damage ones. With your changes it'll be even harder to acquire desired rune, as there will be even more types.
Please add some kind of mechanics to exchange runes into other ones.
This looks good. But i honestly just want 0.3.0
Please consider either removing or reworking the fireball and lightning shrines. With a combined 7,300 ES and 1,400 life the fireball shrine just one shotted me. Went from half way to level 96 to no exp due to these stupid shrines.
