where are all the ppl who left positive reviews in 0.1 to give their review on 0.2!? That's why you compare recent data to recent data and overall data to overall data.
Guy, you really have to be kidding me with this. You know damn well that people aren't out here writing a second positive review on a game they already reviewed positively.
You're also fully aware that many people who updated their reviews to negative were PoE1 players pissed off about the reallocation of developer resources and never even played 0.2.
Assumptions over assumptions.
That's why you just compare recent data with recent data or overall data with overall data, and don't try to base it on any hyper-specific factors.
That's not how science works. That's how you bend the rules of how science works to make it sound like you win an argument.

60% of 17k people is not the majority of the playerbase.
Trying to invalidate these numbers because you compare "Reviews from 0.1" with "Reviews from 0.2" does not support your point. That's why it's presented in percentages.
You compare the 10k negative reviews to all reviews, instead of comparing them to the ppl who gave a review now. And there, the 60% are the majority.
Sure, you could make the argument "But in total numbers the positive reviews are overall higher", but... where are all the ppl who left positive reviews in 0.1 to give their review on 0.2!? That's why you compare recent data to recent data and overall data to overall data.
That's not how science works.
It's literally how science works.
Everything besides a pure data display about this topic is empirically falsifiable.

Haha, two weeks ago I was marveling at all of the negative reviews of 0.2 coming from people who hadn't played it yet.
Now I'm seeing dozens of profiles like this and I think they're even funnier.
Like Christ on toast I'm terrified about what's gonna happen to this dude if he ever finds a game he likes playing.

It's how you do science wrong. So I have to ask: your target audience are people who don't know how science works?
Also, did you just use the term empirically and falsifiable wrong?

when he finds a game he likes playing he will play it and leave a positive review. like most people do when they enjoy something. liking something then discovering that its going in the opposite direction that you found was fun initially is totally a valid point of view and does not make the person a baby, or whatever other slur you wanna pull out because you do not agree.

This proves what exactly?
That in 0.1.0 a lot of ppl left positive reviews, and in 0.2 don't - even with a majority of ppl who left a negative review. That's it.
Every other narrative you try to push is not supported in the slightest by any of the data we can look at.
