Stop crying lil bro i got you

Omen of Amelioration

While this item is active in your inventory will prevent 75% of Experience loss when you die

Yes brother, Omen is so good , but for top players.

The Exp insurance Omen now is 6-7E for 1 death,
The Don't die Omen is 1E. (0.1 is about 7E)

And I don't think the drop rate right now casual players can pay that lol

This is one of the biggest cases of "git gud" I have ever seen.

No one likes losing exp on death.

10% of your current level (next) exp requirement (two segments of your exp bar at the bottom) is not "too much".

Obviously there are some B.S. Deaths but there is always a lesson to be learned from it, no matter how BS it was.

That negative feeling from losing that EXP from a BS death? It should motivate you to update your gear / build to be even better. Its the push you need to get stronger.

So next time that mob with that mod just dies for daring to look in your general direction.

If it was so impossible, there would not be SFHC characters in the 95 to 100 lvl range each league as getting there would be impossible if these deaths were so unavoidable.

I vote to keep the exp penalty where its. My mamma didn't raise no-
This is nothing!!

They should make us drop our gears and all of our gold also when we die.

Nobody's crying bud. This is an Early Access Discussion forum. If you have no arguments to discuss I guess you accept our view points.

We are asking for the removal of a useless game mechanic and they could change it if it pops up on their radar as an issue.

You guys are using emotional arguments and metaphors to prove your point. Calling it "exp-theft", referring to points as "sticks being used to beat you down". That's having a cry.
same here, after few hundreds hours i am 89 in t15. With this new update they destroyed the game, i die from nothing, the air just explodes and i die, mobs 1 shoot me. I can say that my gear its good enough, before update i killed bosses with 1 shoot, now they kill me with 1 shoot, but not only the bosses, almost all mobs, and then comes the big shield ones who reflect all projectiles and again i die from them, its not like i can dodge something that i can't see.
In the end the game its just too stressful and i don't like it anymore, the xp lose its too big, the bugs are infinite.
I will check the come every few days to see if they do something but i wont play it anytime soon.

I can 100% guarantee that people would get bored and quit so much faster if they implemented either of these stupid ideas. No penalty on death = people are guaranteed to hit level 100. That's one of the big goals people have in any game, and removing the barrier to achieving it removes the motivation.

If you don't understand by now why an auction house is bad, then I really don't know what to say. In games like d3, it worked, because there was a barrier for entry. Idk how much the game costs now, but having to pay $70-80+ is going to be enough to determine people making bot accounts to abuse an automatic auction house, because getting banned means money wasted. In poe/2, with no real barrier to entry, they can simply make a new account and keep gojng 5 minutes after being banned. You cry now that "trade is difficult", but i can guarantee you would cry harder if every useful item in the game was too expensive, because the bots just buyout everything and resist.

Clearly you have never experienced that in a game before. I have. It fks the game so much that everyone quits until they remove the AH again, and everyone realises its better without it.

Also, it has NEVER taken me more than 5 minutes to buy any item I want.
I actually like having the loss of XP on death. If you are dying way too often, then you are doing content that is too difficult for you or you need to work on how you play your character. Good items can only take you so far in this game and there comes a point where you need to shift your focus on staying alive + survivability.

XP Loss on death isn't something new, it was a part of Diablo 2, which is what the POE series was inspired by. Not every person is supposed to hit level 100, and you sure don't need to be at level 100 to beat the game or do endgame content... It's not like Diablo 4 where everyone has to get to max level and then "the real game starts". This is a game where you might use low level items in your final build.

As for the auction house debates. I thought it was a good idea at first, but then the more I interacted with the economy and familiarized myself with POE trading, I came to the realization that an auction house would not be good for the game... Bots would buy items as soon as they are posted, not giving a chance for players to get their hands on items they want for upgrades. They would horde items and set the prices... :(
Let's work together to make this world a better place :)

Last Epoch already solved this problem.
i am ok with losing exp, but i am not ok with losing 10% of exp.

2-3% max should be the penalty, 10% means at 99 if u die twice, u lose hours and hourse of exp.
