Losing way too much exp on death in end game

I am so tired of losing all my progress due to stutters, the game resetting a zone while i am in it or the other 1 million other things causing these stupid random one shots.

Why do we need such a harsh exp penalty in the end game? I have almost 600 hours in and still have yet to get a character to 100. I haven't gotten a character past lvl 81 because it so frustrating.

I have 8 character's 70 + now. This is such a stupid decision and is what is preventing me and I suspect many others from actually progressing the end game and so we quit. Never mind the mapping sustain, players do not like wasting their time and having their time basically taken from them. Simply being able to level a character is one of the most frustrating things in this game and it really shouldn't be.

And before you all start saying get good. Post some screens on all you 100's and then we will talk.

XP penalty on death is by far the biggest reason I lose interest in playing. going for the pinnacle bosses is my main motivation for playing at level 90+ and I know for sure I'm going to die a few times trying those as well.

I usually get off for the rest of the day on a death, huge buzzkill
I would be 100% happy with a single attempt in all maps, but no XP penalty for death.

It's just a mental thing for me. I play carefully and rarely die, but the threat of losing so much XP often kills any motivation to make an attempt at any difficult content when close to leveling up.
Therein is your biggest problem. You are attempting maps without being fully prepared and continue the cycle endlessly. If you can farm T1-T11 fine why not farm that? Because you want better rewards, yet you want more rewards without risk without being fully prepared and then get frustrated when you die.

Farm safely and level up, try new stuff or bosses / new gear when you level so not losing anything.

Ain’t rocket science

The game doesn't allow you to farm lower tiered maps. At level 84, trying to farm anything but T14/15 is completely worthless.

You don't get experience, you don't get level appropriate loot. You can spend the next 3 months farming lower tier maps for what? Hoping that the RNG Gods are with you?

The only "sure" progression in the game is experience and it takes it away from you at every lag spiked corner.

Completely useless and worthless mechanic of taking away experience. All penalty, no reward.
Right now, the white mobs in the game are thousands of times stronger than the bosses. It’s like the bosses delegated their power to them. That’s why you can die so easily and lose millions of EXP.
And honestly, you don’t even need those — one of the many bugged, invisible mobs can kill you just as easily.

Just leave them. They are going to keep pushing this rhetoric that white mobs 1 shot you, and they swarm you at 200+ packs at a time. They are either running into maps woth negative resists, or they simply aren't playing the game and are making stuff up. Their opinion isn't valid.

ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED!? 🙉🍌
I agree 1000% on the XP loss being way too excessive. Sometimes I had taken two steps forward but had fallen 10 steps back. Many times right at the start of my skill point level. It is absurd to rob players of their time. I don't mind taking three steps forward and losing 1-2 steps back at times. But falling so drastically down is just too much. At most they should only remove 2% exp at death imo.
