Changes to Act 3 Areas in Path of Exile 2

The size of the area is not a problem if there were some reward when going to the wrong way. The problem is if it has only a downside, that is lose lots of time with zero rewards. Rewards could be several rare strongboxes on the way. And if there were some shrines on the way making us stronger or faster it would not be a problem.
The problem in several situations is that there are only downsides, with no upside added. Otherwise several people would actively search the wrong way to get the rewards, with the expectation to get currency to upgrade the gear.

Any news on the constant DC's? EU servers constantly going down and rerolling, forced to play on Russian server and even that isnt stable most of the time?

It takes too long because you reverted changes made for acts 1 and 2 but act 3 remains the same. And the areas are just too large. It's the size and too many dead ends. It's not the drops, its having to backtrack in an ARPG while fighting mobs that overwhelm, stall and kill the player, and this is happening on NORMAL. Dunno why GGG feels the need to gaslight us or twist the player bases words. People are still telling you its slow, and you're telling us some bullcrap about core drops this and boss arena that, in one ear and out the other. What are you guys doing? Take the L and fix it cause whatever vision you think youre pulling off might only work if you actually listened to the players who paid to test this for you.
You still haven't made any changes to the player's defense, even if the defense value is high, it will still be killed by ordinary monsters. An inexplicable death. I don't know what your defense design is.

Please don't drop this issue, this is just the start. Take a look at all the zones. They should feel comfortable, like some of the early Act 1 zones. Compare the size to those and get in there with a hatchet. Waterways for sure.
There are still some overly-long zones in act 2. Pretty much every endgame map.

And not just size, but all the little tedious bushes/twigs/stones/etc that interrupt movement and skills.
