Dawn of the Hunt - What We’re Working On

The problem is not the difficulty.
It´s the tediousness of huge maze like maps. It´s no loot dropping. It´s a content update without changing the core issues of 0.1. There is no sense of progression. |

"Large Area Sizes"?
This is S-tier gaslighting by GGG and its un-fucking-believable. Could it be that IT'S a SPEED issue? Like the speed we move at, the speed enemies move at, action speed, scaling speed of any flavor literally any amount? You wanna know why people hate playing this fucking game rn? Its all the reason you pussied out on actually saying in this quote right here. The REAL reasons areas feel daunting and miserable. Unbelievable. People got mad at me for calling Jonathan out for being smarmy and snark with his commentary but unless he changes, this game is in big trouble. If he can't meet people halfway on the things that literally make POE what is POE, then well good luck.
People have been voicing concerns since the closed Alpha+Beta testing sessions about the pace of the game, the speed at which you move in the game, the monster action speed and skill speed, and the loot drops. Look at where we are now... INCREASE THE LOOT DROPS, WE DON'T WANT TO PLAY RUTHLESS. LITERALLY NOONE PLAYS THIS MODE FOR A REASON. Unless Jonathan and the team is willing to swallow their pride, the game isn't going to get any better. Trash mobs should just be trash mobs, white mobs behaving like this, moving at this speed, in the literal FIRST ZONE, where wolves can 0-100 you, is INSANE. You better hope you get lucky at the vendor with some movespeed boots or you can just get absolutely annihilated. Every single death I have in the game is just ridiculous crowd control, getting chain stunned over and over and over. Like what is this slop? Seriously, what possessed you to add MORE stun into the game? Who thought this was a good idea? If I don't hear some good answers from Jonathan tomorrow on Ziz's podcast, I'm out. Actually, is Jonathan even playing his own game at this point, because what's becoming clear is that maybe he isn't, and that's why he's so out of touch with everyone. He talked about leveling minions in campaign with Ghazzy on their Tavern Talk, and look at how badly minions were tuned. What version of the game was he playing, because I wasn't playing that same version he highlighted. I desperately want to play and have fun, but this game doesn't allow for that. Unfortunately I no longer have faith it will get better, until it does, good luck exiles. |

On the surface it is what it is. If you guys have a different vision for what you want Poe2 to be like, so be it. You guys are welcome to do what you want and develop what you want.
But when I dig deeper and realize this is what is gonna end up killing poe 1? Nah I can't do that. This is what we're getting after you pull resources away from poe 1? It's sad man. I'm disappointed. |

17 hours into the game, and I've had two exalted drops, and two orbs of alchemy.
Thats all. No uniques. This isn't even ruthless, it's worse. Do you guys know what good ARPGS have? LOOT! Increase the damn drop rates by about 1000%, and I might be interested. |

I just don't even wanna go into details as to how out of touch with the game's condition and the community this post is. PoE 2 in 0.2 patch is a GARBAGE. Period.

Crazy how the areas being too large has nothing to do with the fact that the areas are indeed too large

For what it's worth... I like the game, I like the new character, and I like starting fresh. Yes, it feels slow at first but it felt that way when the game first released with every character. I could go full rant on all the super negative non-constructive posts but I don't have the energy to spend on that.

Tried the game again after your 'fixes' and... nope ... the game is still in a very bad shape.
Gonna quit for now. Will return when the new league of PoE1 will be launched... chances are quite high that Jonathan and Mark will destroy PoE1 too :( Long Live the Templars !!!!

Look at the Azak Bog, which is so massive you can't even fit the entire map on the screen, and tell me what possible game mechanic necessitates such a large, unending space. As with every other zone, there is nothing 'interesting' there, there is nothing requiring it being that large. No rare treasures at dead ends, just endless walking simulator trying to find the boss that could be anywhere. And this is a prime example of...oh I don't know...almost every campaign zone.
The only possible reason maps would be this large is to make the campaign take longer. That's it. There's no game/lore reason for maps this huge, especially on painful, narrow-pathway maps like Azak Bog and the Dreadnaught. |
