Dawn of the Hunt - What We’re Working On

Its Day 5 of the league, Warbringer's Ancestral Spirits still not working, i mean a complete ascendancy is not working from start and it's not even worth mentioning that you guys are working on in this post? You might not read these posts, you might not even care anymore but at least thank you for letting me/us blowing out some steam on your forums, guess it worth something!
They know most Souls games have level one runs where you can either one shot a bosses, or get powerful enough to deal more damage than an "on level" character right?

Also, Souls game's difficulty comes from bosses, while you can run around most of the mobs and still get the gear you need to fight said bosses. ARPs, from the little time I've been playing them, seem way too dependent on loot drops to be anything like Souls games. I LOVED the campaign before this patch.

I hope their Vision will be worth all of this in the end.
Some people will like it...heck D4 has plenty of active players whether we like to admit it or not.

I don't. None of the people I've played POE with, other groups I've played other games with (D2,D3,PD2,D2:R,Torchlight,LA,LE,TAL) are having fun.

Maybe that's what GGG wanted? They did say the audience likely won't be 100% overlap with POE1...we just didn't expect the real number to be 1%.

If anything we've seen so far is a locked-in directive towards POE2...It'll just not be for the above audiences. Maybe that's the goal...have some other niche' market completely different from POE1 that hopefully can sustain itself.

Probably not wise to use "POE2" as the name if that's the vision though...

It's a shame for standard ARPG enjoyers. At least we have plenty of other games.

Ofc we're not even at 1.0 yet, but this patch and this post gives a good idea of their actual goal. Either they completely "back to the drawing board" on the vision, or it'll just be a different audience from normal ARPG games. We'll see I guess. GG for now.
Mobile games have better trading...
This game actually feels so bad right now, i uninstalled before stepped in cruel.

- 0 character progression (everything comes with a downside)
- 0 gear progression (currency and rare items at t0 rarity)
- 0 meaningful combat just non-stop rushed, swarmed, microstunning white mobs,
that hit like a truck
- 0 build diversity (if u chose the wrong build/skill to level, u gonna get)
- 10 minutes Boss fights
- 60 minutes Zones
- 0 Mobility
- 0 Action speed

All these comes together in campaign to hurt me just to later at endgame force me to play spear+rhoa at endgame, because all other builds are ..? No thx
Love GGG but what have 207 people been working on for three months? Minions feel bad BTW. My minion build has no minions. Still fun but holy can you imagine being a noob and playing for the first time.

People like the challenge and agree the game is not hard. That is where you're getting confused. You're caught up thinking people disagree with you.

To clear it up. The issue is primarily with unnecessarily slow gameplay, sluggish power creep and a lack of an early or mid game power fantasy that ARPG's are known for.

People love the challenge, the game is not "hard". Development decisions have strayed too far from making it more "fun" aside from challenge. The decisions seem aimless and odd. Rushed and forced.

People want methodical, but sensical. Rewarding and fun. Earned and invested. They want more loot and power for their effort.

I hope that helps you understand. These are clear developer missteps and the patch was a step backward instead of forward to where the game needs to be. PoE 2 should be the defining pinnacle of ARPG's, not a No Rest for the Wicked Dark Souls hybrid for "reasons". Even though those are both great challenging fun games in their own right.

People are not complaining about the difficulty. The game still has the same mechanics as 0.1.0.

The complaint is about how they make the game super slow by buffing the monster HP even the white one and left their speed intact. Hitting a sponge doesn't mean it's a hard, it's tedious and very time consuming.

I don't understand people who think more HP means harder.
i love how you make the game in the way it looks like you make it for yourself instead of players and then i realize that you don't even play this for 2 mins before releasing anything

Not a very fun league, huntress skills quickly fall off making campaign a slog. Everything else was nerfed into the ground. Might just skip out and come back in another 3 months.
