Dawn of the Hunt - What We’re Working On

The zones are 100% oversized. It is not the monster life the zones are just tediously too big. No direction or signs where to find the point of interests (zone boss) or anything.

Huntress skills have the same issue as every other attack based skills. It is a pain to level because the skills don't scale with level or gem lv it scales based on weapon which you won't be able to upgrade every 2 levels and you don't have currency to craft anything. Like from what are we supposed to craft from? Dropped 1 exalted in entire act1.

Entirety of acts need to be made easier and faster. The hardest part of the game is literally act 1. Why? The game should be easy starting off getting people hooked but they hate the game from the start because of how rippy and slow it is. The game should progressively get harder as it goes not super hard instantly. Honestly nobody is interested in souls like "let's try to kill every boss 20 times". Nah we are good people just going to alt f4 if they can't kill a boss in 2-3 tries.

Entire zone respawn upon death is probably one of the worst decision you guys ever made. This is not good. If we die we are already pissed that we have to run again nobody want to reclear the same route again and again.

My problem is that these issues existed back in december. People's feedback did not matter at all.

Regarding the large area size, GGG you are overthinking it. Its simply this: The zones are too large. Too many incorrect paths to walk through. Too many dead ends and need to back track. Or just TOO BIG. Massive huge zones with slower combat, with minimal movement speed capability, no movement skills, no crafting materials to make movement speed boots while leveling... the zones are massive. Just shrink them. Waypoints and checkpoints isn't the answer.
I'm a newbie and I enjoyed 0.1 a ton. This new update feels like a chore. I thought I had a skill issue with the damage but it seems like everyone is nerfed to the ground.

There's a ton of stuff that has to be changed... everyone agrees that players are too slow and monsters too fast. It requires a lot of disengaging to actually cast skills, otherwise you get stun locked and die.

This goes on hand with the map size, if we were faster it wouldn't be so tedious. But the Azak Bog.... really??? Or the Waterways, easily the worse parts of the campaign. I think I will end Act 3 and I'm done, no way I'm replaying all of that again in cruel.

And forget about creating a new char unless you guys implement some kind of skip, it's just so boring.

Imo GGG should just:
1. Shrink maps by 50-70% (act 2, 3 & endgame). Act1 should be considered a good example.
2. Buff loot during the campaign by 2-3x, including orbs. Probably in maps as well.
3. Decrease pack sizes by up to 40-50%.
4. Slow monsters down by 25-50%, depending on monster type.

Im not posting hate on GGG, I want to see their vision of the game. But for the love of god move away from league style patches until FULL LAUNCH.

Reading the patch notes I wasn't even upset with all the nerfs to builds, but monsters shouldn't have received buffs to stun and increasing HP when we cannot out run normal monsters without having movement movement speed on boots which feels absolutely mandatory.

My biggest complaint is not that I feel weaker, I'm fine with practicing mechanics on boss fights. But when you gut every skill, and then make currency drops basically nonexistent during the campaign. I feel forced to play only the most broken builds. Rather than having build diversity, I feel like I now must utilize broken mechanics due to the lack of my ability to get power from improving my gear unless getting a very very lucky drop.

For reference I have gone through the campaign twice on 2 characters. Both times I wasn't able to get enough currency to try to upgrade any of my gear other than my weapon. With both characters I got a good weapon in Act 2 Normal, and wasn't able to find or craft an upgrade until Act 3 Cruel. I couldn't justify using anything better than a regal on armour or rings due to the lack of currency for crafting.

GGG please stop with the leagues and just do weekly balance patches until the game is at the pace you want it. If crafting is going to be more luck based as you've stated in interviews, then actually allow for currency to drop so I can at least try to make myself an upgrade.

I don't think I'm exaggerating - people don't want to be forced to play melee AND ranged all the time.
It's a bad approach and a bad design idea.
I would have much preferred poison to ice for her spells. It would fit better with the huntress lore and be a nice nod to the javazon.

All in all, I'm happy to finally be able to play a class I like.
I hope you'll listen a little feedback from players about forcing melee AND ranged play. That's really the disappointing part for me.

Everyone in here talking about making the maps smaller being the answer.. of course it is the answer.

Stop and think for a second why GGG keep sidestepping this.. Its not a question of can they, because of course they can. They won't, because larger maps = more time in maps = more people logged in playing for longer.

The combination of that plus slowing down player progression is their hope that people will be in game longer overall and not just ripping through the campaign.

Its just another way they have slowed down progressing, along with player power, mob strength and speed, you name it.

The issue is that GGG largely has overshot what players are willing to put up with and are loathed to now change it. They would rather inch back slowly, where in actuality they need to pull it way back with certain things.

Whats happening with the spiking to 3000ms constantly? Is anyone else affected by it? My speedtest shows no issues here and other games are fine.
One Thing inwant to say, that need to BE fixed in the next few days, IS the loot drop rythm.

I got 1 blue and 1 rare Gloves with life and 1 Résistance around lvl 30 and before.

After that, id never found any usable pair of Gloves, with my stat requirements.

ID Check every vendor on every Level Up , for Upgrades and i only got Armour bases Sometimes or high des. But ID needed dex int or int bases.

Also i dropped Surround 15ex until Maps. And only 4 Regals. The other Regals comes from enchanting.

For the less amount of rare Drops ( also in early Maps ).their must ne more crafting options. Until than, they need to drasticly ramp Up the loot value and disable Magic find at the Same time.

Their ist No wirst Feeling , to geht into Maps and you cant even clear a White map Tier 1 with Minions under 25 min.
And thats because of more reasons.
Not only the damage nerfs.

The progression rythm IS totally Off.
They fixed it, at the middle of the Last League of poe2 and now it seems they reverted it
