Content Update 0.2.0 -- Path of Exile 2: Dawn of the Hunt

This is the right way to go, good stuff.
The problem isn’t just the nerfs—it’s how they’re done. Instead of adjusting builds, they just delete them with no real alternatives. Gameplay balance hasn’t improved either: armor is still weak, defensive options got nerfed without replacements, and the slower pace just makes everything feel tedious.

Acts are repetitive—only three are finished, so you have to replay the same ones again. Mapping is slow, loot is underwhelming, and overall progression feels worse than in PoE1.

Meanwhile, actual new content is minimal: one class, a few ascendancies, and spears. No new core mechanics, no proper build variety, no real improvements. PoE2 isn’t expanding on what made PoE1 great—it’s stripping it down, and at this rate, it’s hard to see when it will feel complete.
I really thought they would finally remove trials of sekhemas, or change that godawfully mechanics for something straightforward like in poe 1 ascendancies. I honestly dont care about anything else...
I put 1,013 hours in the game. Every class played to 92+.

I was really looking forward to putting another 1k+ hours into the new league.

I'm not playing on release. I might play later if the game looks enticing enough. Devs can do what they want, they can slow the game down and make it the whole, "attack, attack, run-block, heal" repeat if they want, but unfortunately that's tedious for most of the player base. I want to blast content. Broken items and builds make ARPGs fun.

It's a needed break. 1,000 hours into a game and not playing since March 9th. These patch notes sealed that for me. This curbs my enthusiasm terribly and I hope it gets better, but at first glance this looks...bad.

Hopefully the builds work and the new uniques help out with the massive nerfs to skills that were underperforming and that no one was really playing to begin with. Flameblast and Hexblast are good examples of catching strays they didn't deserve. Good luck everyone who plays, but they won't be getting MTX purchases from me this league.

If you disagree with their choices, like me, the best thing you can do is talk with your wallets everyone.
hmmm so what for in "A"rpg "A" stands for? Action right? RIGHT? So enlighten me where Action synonymous to SLOW, MEANINGFULL? I dare you. Coz my understanding of it is fast n blasting all to kingdom come. On same note just a thought remove that "A" since it doesn't fit the mighty vision n ad "SM" (slow motion) booom fixed.

I am literally licking tears of all whiners here xD
Its so funny to me... Oh no, now you can't use the build streamer created for you, to stomp through the content in 5 div range by oneshotting everything in area?
Noooooooooo

They were clear about their vision in POE 2, and they are definitely chasing it - and its amazing. Also they are fair about it: everything i can think of being broken is nerfed hard. And also everything less broken is a bit nerfed.

The game NEEDED 180 degrees, otherwise it would be a shitshow like in first league, everybody dinging endgame bosses day 3, because lance said mana is stonk.

Its GREAT, now we have a completely new game and we have to challenge ourselves to get through it. Im hyped as hell :)

Completely agree!

All these crying babies wants PoE 2 to be exactly like PoE 1.

If they want a game to just walk on the map and look everything after, just go back to PoE 1 or go play diablo 4 and that's it.

Let the devs make the game the way they want.

This is a EA afterwards, it's here for them to try new things and see how the game goes.

Don't like it? As mentioned before, go back to Poe 1 / Diablo 4 or even Last Epoch that is there and much better than D4.

There wouldn’t be any problems with PoE2 at all, I wouldn’t care about it or its issues if they hadn’t completely abandoned updates for PoE1. I want to play PoE1, I don’t need PoE2 at all, I didn’t ask for it, but they abandoned my favorite game.

And instead of a fully completed game with tons of mechanics, the devs are giving me a cat in a bag in the form of an unfinished game. On top of that, they release updates for it so rarely and with so little content! What a joy to wait another 2-3 years until they finally bring the game to a full release with all the classes, acts, ascendancies, and endgame mechanics.
3.26 on the horizon!

You, and GGG for that matter, must be confused.
You can't aim to have a slow pace and add timed content like Breach and Delirium.

There's nothing amazing about PoE2's vision.

It's early access and you are a play tester.
