A Message to Path of Exile 1 Players
" mad cuz bad ? crazy THIS IS STILL EA stop crying like babies |

Yeah that is feeling probably many gamers have because of the experience from other developers.
So that is what makes this reaction mostly. But rather than shit on GGG we could show some understanding and support more than show this ugly side of Poe 1 players. Just so… you know. They want keep delivering to us and not to new audience only. Remember they are still company. They have a lot new customers. Old customers need love too. But if new product is bad it can ruin even more. Need to think outside of box. For sure if interest is for both games they keep hiring and splitting resources. As long there is transparency we are good. I believe.. I would except new Poe 1 leagues lasting few months more for now. Until resources are fixed. |

Add WASD support to POE1 and give us access to ALL mtx's in POE2 (that also include hideouts)
And give us 300 points each as a little compensation for it ^^ Then i will forgive you GGG hehe. Nah you are all good in my eyes. You guys have been working hard, really hard. |

Congratulations, you firmly secured the #1 spot for the worst backlash from anything you guys have ever done. This is easily worse than Expedition changes, Archnemesis going core + Lake of Kalandra, Harvest manifesto, nothing's ever gonna top this. And it seems like one of the reasons that might be is because there won't ever be another chance, with how you guys are so clearly gearing up to shutter this game. I just wish we could get actual answers. Where do you guys stand on the statements you've made in the past, like how you said "we don't want the community to split between games, ideally players will enjoy both 1 and 2, and rotate between them, while some can still choose one or the other." Because you've told us you recognize this problem's potential, and right now it seems like it's going to be a defining issue moving forward. You've basically shoved PoE 1 players to the side to make room for new, casual PoE 2 fans that have no attachment to you or the game, who look at PoE 1 and even if they can manage to wrap their heads around it, think its a terrible game. You've catered to these players and made promises to them that you won't be repeating the same mistakes made while developing PoE 1, and players of PoE 1 can tell that you mean it since there are many design choices in PoE 2 that are baffling, but prove that you will be taking the game in a different direction.
Well now PoE 2 is choking 1 out of existence. What conversations are being had about this? This video doesn't have enough information, it's just a story time from the past 7 months with more promises that we have no reason to believe in at the end. At least in the days of Expedition, Archnem, and Harvest we would get detailed manifestos on exactly what was going on and what was being done. With philosophy to explain the decisions. Now we get videos, either a couple minutes with bad news, or hours of fluff in the form of Q&A's that have to be sifted through for few meaningful, pressing questions that people want to know the answers to. Why not be explicit and describe exactly how things are, why they aren't working, what needs to be done to ship PoE 1 leagues, and how you'll be changing things to make that happen? These vague "I needed the PoE 1 team to ship EA, kept them for too long, my bad, but now we've figured out how we'll change to make things work again" statements are not descriptive enough at this point. Why did you need every single person on the PoE 1 team? Haven't you shipped leagues with very few people working on them before? What did they work on in PoE 2 that was so important that it meant they couldn't get anything together at all for PoE 1? Why did you make that decision? Why was that part of PoE 2 Early Access more important than the entirety of PoE 1? For the new people, these might seem like questions players have no business asking, but GGG used to give extremely detailed, essay-length manifestos that covered every little thing that led to the mistakes they made, mistakes smaller than this, and with less backlash than this will receive. But I guess that was only when Chris was involved. Now we get teleprompter word salad, broken promises and an abandoned game. Whatever, see you at the next delay announcement. |

GGG is now the worst company for me. I will never recommend your games to anyone. And I hope POE2 dies as well as the community’s faith in you

I think this is the wrong decision. PoE2 is nowhere near where PoE1 is, it struggles to keep people playing it right now, it will struggle even more in the coming months. People expect changes the size of a league, you won't be able to deliver that.
If you're looking for a low investment solution, I would highly recommend doing something along the lines of the Necro Settlers League, to keep people entertained at least. It won't last for months on end, but if you manage to throw something like that in every quarter year, people might stick to it still. |

Nah ! WE were fooled expecting an engine upgrade on poe1 with two games in one, and then 2 seperate game. Just to realize poe2 has nothing in common with poe1 and then no poe1. I was fooled in giving my money towards a Fake goal. WE have no engine upgrade neither league on my favorite game and WE were told otherwise since first exilecon.
Have fun with the new fans of poe2 |

Yeah, nah. I'm not playing a fundamentally flawed tech demo. See ya

POE 2 feels like an unnecessary overhaul that nobody asked for. Stop trying to reinvent the wheel—just give us what we love: POE 1 with meaningful improvements. Put POE 2 on pause, drop a fresh POE 1 league, and then revisit POE 2. Simple.
