GGG Doesnt care about your feedback
They sold enough EA for this ''season'' of paid youtube/stream promotion.
RMTers will keep funding until the next Ads campaign to bait fresh meat once again. look forward to it Last edited by khuzvhan#0406 on Jan 21, 2025, 5:40:10 PM

" I see a lot of people saying GGG made this claim. I've seen only early footage of early campaign and people speculated "souls like". Is there any references you could point me to where GGG said the whole game was slowed down? |
|
" Trailer and their podcast, and the most recent 'podcast' where they said:We want players to fight bosses for 1 to 3 minutes, the way it is currently isn't desirable. something like that, the rolling was there to dodge big hits, the trailer was a warrior fighting a small space dodging attacks while attacking showing it wasn't a screen exploder, unless you came from POE1 to play POE2 just because it was 'POE' them you really haven't seen anything, but anyone who saw the trailers or their podcast know it and even the most recent one talked about it. |

" I've been watching poe2 content since it was announced. They talked about making an expansion for poe1, and then realized the changes they wanted to make would be a totally different game. They said they wanted slower combat that demanded the attention of the player. However, throughout time and even recently, they have also reiterated that they want players to feel the power fantasy in the late game. I hope that their vision for the game is better than what they have produced thus far. I'm impressed with Acts 1-3 and inclined to believe POE2 will have a palatable end game by the time it launches. |

" I saw a long post with a ton of youtube links and timelines of the whole development process but I dont remember where. Had linked interviews and stuff. For example, poe2 was originally going to be a patch or expansion to the first game but it eventually became its own game. They hyped this game up to be different from poe1 but its identical. You could show a random person the end game from both games and they wouldnt be able to tell the difference. |

" Personally I would keep with the feel of Act 1/2/3. It doesn't feel like PoE1 and I think regardless of the split in community interest that will work in their favor because it's fairly different than anything else. There were ARPGs before Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 wasn't perfect. I'm bias of course. I like exploring, finding secrets, opening chests and having every encounter be engaging. I used to mod Diablo 1. It was called "The Dark". It was harder and we fixed AoE layering like with Chain Lightning which GGG still hasn't figured out is not something you want to play with. Enemy Density and AoE layering combine into damage per volume which goes out of control quick. They should reconsider the single support concept. I think it's holding back multi-skill use too much. I like the whole absorb shock/ignite to do XYZ but they can only repeat that trick so many times. They should avoid Enemy Density much as possible and instead simply make enemies more dangerous. I'm not saying White mobs should one-shot you. White mods serve a purpose which is to deal "Chip Damage" to you. Forcing you to waste healing, hindering recovery and overwhelming you forcing good positioning and thoughtful approach towards your bigger targets. If the player runs right at the rare mob ignoring the white mobs. Something is wrong. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac

" I just went and looked at the steam trailer. Man that is insanely misleading compared to what the actual game is. |

" First of all, I didn't say it was the worst opinion, I said it was the worst prediction. If you're going to quote me, please actually get the quote correct. That being said, I'm not projecting, my man, and your use of the word suggests to me that you don't actually know what it means. I'll restate my point, as simply as I can: It is an objective fact that PoE2 has already succeeded far above and beyond the best-case expectations of the developers. It is also an objective fact that you are have said, more than once, that this game will not succeed. Therefore, it is an objective fact that you are wrong. I'm not defending the game; I'm not even playing the game right now because I'm too busy with other stuff in my life. But that doesn't mean you aren't arguing in bad faith, stating things which are ludicrously and demonstrably untrue. This is not something people do who are acting rationally. |

" I'm not sure about lying to us but they're making a lot of mistakes they made in early PoE1. Like ES being godly while Evasion/Armor do little. That's already happened before. I haven't played in a few weeks. I'm on the forums because I care about the game. That's just the type of person I am. If I don't care I won't bother with a single post. Currently I can't go back to PoE1 anymore. It's just so far gone from the Shaper/Elder days and I can't find motivation to play PoE2 outside making another character which is annoyingly limited. I love theory crafting and making hipster builds. Mathil is the only streamer I watch because they like doing the same stuff. We've even had the same build ideas a few times. I'm the type who will just abandon a build if I see too many people playing it. "Never trust floating women." -Officer Kirac Last edited by Xzorn#7046 on Jan 21, 2025, 6:06:50 PM

" I Agree, the problem is 'quantity' because they kept density so high the best build and only viable option is AOE, but what should happen is Rare should be alone and white in a group of 5 and blue in a group of 3, while AOE and single target skills can be used, this way the slower mechanic exist AOE for quantity but wouldn't work on bosses because they have high res and armour. there should be a fundamental change in their development, they should lower boss damage by 90% this way any build is viable while maintaining one shot mechanics, and increasing the danger, and time you fight a rare to 10 to 20 seconds so you couldn't just speed rush the game, if any attack even with 90% resistance and 15k ES can kill you the only viable option is to kill everything as quickly as possible otherwise you will die. this was how act 1, 2 and 3 was, you had danger you took time killing rares, of course in act 3 we could already see how much more 'mobs' existed, but the fight was ok, but in endgame 15+ maps we have bosses hitting faster than the early game, hitting harder and seeing how meaningless defense is. this fast-paced combat mechanic was in place because of the screen exploder builds, so to counter them they make the bosses have even more damage, hit even faster, have even more health, so the only viable option is to kill them before they could even hit you, defense doesn't matter. |
