Feedback and why I'm done. 4th Ascension is what did it.
why would anyone do sekhmas for 4th ascend?
Might take longer in terms of level req. but do chaos. Its so much easier, and takes 20 minutes. If you aren't getting deadly fate, just sell your dupes for exalt, and buy one. |

" It doesn't seem dramatic, it is dramatic. " It actually isn't. It's a completely sensible response to someone acting like the game should be a polished and balanced experience already. " First off, this game still has 250k concurrent players. It's 5th highest played on Steam more than a month after launch and despite no significant update patches yet. It's clearly made a good impression on a lot of people. Most games lose way more players way faster than that. Secondly, while you do only get one first impression, you don't get only one impression. The importance of first impressions is ridiculously overstated, there are a million instances of people who had a bad first impression and then a great second impression. So, this game clearly didn't make a bad first impression, and even if it did that wouldn't really mean much. As long as they keep improving the impression they give, and add new content that people are excited to try out, this game will do just fine. " And thus you prove my point. Clearly the first impression wasn't actually all that important to you, if all you need to come back is for them to change the thing you don't like. And I mean, join the rest of us in terms of not liking Trials of the Sekhema. Almost nobody seems to like it, so it's almost certainly going to change whenever they do a big rework/balance patch. Most of us just don't need to make a dramatic "I QUIT!!!" post about it, we'll just give our feedback calmly and do something else while we patiently wait for updates. " you could just buy a 4th floor sanctum start to finish, sanctum is much more preferable than the tooth extraction that is ultimatum |

To be honest.
I thought sekehema is bad too, but u can get 80% honour res for the 4th Ascendancy and you should have max honour at the endboss. I beat the endboss solo on my Monk after 2 tries. Third try succeeded. My biggest issue simply was the lightning attack that he does wheere you have to run in a circle. U can tank it too, but then you might lose to much honour if your damage isnt that good. After the 4th ascendancy you can get 85% honour resistance. Even mroe with a boon that icnreases the potency of your relics. Beating the rooms was never an issue for me on my monk. I did have some issues when i did it on my witch because it was my first palythrough and that was hard. But i did it. I do understand why people have issues with sekhema. The design is annoying and favours ranged builds. But doing sekhema on melee is a bit annoying but not a reason to stop playing. And i cna do sekhema for fun now on my monk. Yes i do have fun in sekhema. And i end up with up to 10 gold keys in the end. Last edited by Gang5ter15#1071 on Jan 18, 2025, 11:54:51 AM

" Sekhema is definitely less bad than Ultimatum. I did my fourth ascendancy on my monk on first try (but only at level 94, lol, have been putting it off) without exactly knowing the fight - I only knew there is a phase where you need to touch symbols in time, or die. Entering the room with 12k honor (with lots of resistance & some nice boons) I was able to facetank the boss like a noob and lost only 5k honor in the fight. Definitely a lot more doable than Ultimatum. It's a bit of a lottery what afflictions you get (worst in my case were enfeeble & monster attack speed). What's nice is that even in your failed runs, you can loot better relics that will help you in your next runs. --- It's doable with some practice, of course, but I also understand why people don't like it. My biggest gripe is how long it takes (1+ hour in my case). GGG should shave two rooms off each section to make the whole thing shorter. Not even the first iterations of Lab took this long. Spoiler
" My only problem with Sekhema are some of the affliction. NO Evasion or no Energy shield is just stupid. That should not exist. I always avoid rewards where i can get a random affliction because it can literally just delete my run. Last edited by Gang5ter15#1071 on Jan 18, 2025, 2:18:12 PM

Sekhema takes 60-90 minutes and features a boss with a wiki oneshot mechanic among other annoyances. (i.e. Hope you read up beforehand or you die. And have a move speed bonus and didn't lose it due to afflictions)
Ultimatium, boss key idiocy aside, takes 20 minutes and has a fair, well designed boss at the end. Just take some chaos resistance and some skill and you'll win. |
