Thoughts about the interview?

The whole interview was Ghazzy and DM talking to a wall, and GGG either having "no data", or straight up dismissing everything.

It was giving "Do you not have phones?"

At the end of the interview, you get the feeling that GGG doesn't really know its own game, and that they're simply saying that they're going to investigate the problem

Just out of curiosity, could you give an example of the problem they had to know answer about, in your opinion?

First thing to come in my mind, the fact that corrupted blood does not affect players who play CI with 1 hit point for example.
currently at work atm but i'll be happy to list you all the topic that end with "we're going to investigate" from Jonathan and/or Mark.
"To entertain doubt is to dance with death"
interview was sth like game is fine.

but i would like to see a more specific discussion on the speed (slow) of the campaign. specifcally cold sorc and warrior with all those spells that needs 3 secs to do anything or those 1 sec added to total cast time. also the size of the maps.
i am pretty sure after this interview that they like it that way but maybe a couple more specific questions

- size of map
- only cold spell doing damage are slow as hell
- tons of warrior skills are so slow you end up doing auto attack boneshatter or some other combination in maps.
- with skill being so slow, shouldnt they do even more damage ?

i am talking specifcally clearing the normal/rare monsters in maps

for bosses i think it s not a problem.
maybe the difference of balance between classes. but again, they said they re not in favor of normalizing damage so.

I mean not all the topics which they want to investigate, only some examples of topics which they already should've investigate in all details, discuss and decide what to do about it.

Rarity and droprates being balanced around it is a problem? Dismissed.
Movement speed being more common or implicit? Dismissed.
Lower tier affixes being too common when rolling higher tier items? Dismissed.
Crafting = slot machine? Dismissed, because "deterministic not good"?

answer inspired by another discussion here : https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3692462

The only good feedback was about the possibily to replace Runes.
The (seems to be) bad one is about the one death portal.

I was disappointed with the number of issues that they didn't have enough information or feedback about.

The conspiracy theorists suggesting that GGG has some AI summarizing the EA feedback for them seems well and truly debunked. Their workflow for addressing accessibility concerns is to send the office guy with colour blindness to check things out. Their messaging system for moderator actions involved editable/deletable notes rather than an audit trail.

These are not signs of a technologically integrated workflow.

If people want to get their feedback seen, the best way to go about it is being repetitive to the point of insanity, I guess. Repeat it a billion times in the forums until it gets picked up by a streamer or it might not get seen at all.
It's worth noting that +2 maps are a dangerous thing.
They can cause players to get out of their depth -
playing maps that are too hard for the items they currently have. Herp Derp.
I was sad there was no section about improving SSF compared to trade league.

Raxx put it best when he said: "I'm not farming the game, but the trade site."

I'd rather farm the game than make currency to buy stuff. Last Epoch made a big effort to cater to SSF players as well, while they're still an afterthought here.

Totally agree with this. I feel the same way and next character will play in SSF. When I imagining, that I am using chaos orbs to try to improve items, farm different mechanics like dilirium to get distilled emotions instead of buying it, I think it should feel much more interesting, than when everything is the one-dimensional currency. Like, there is no difference between chaos orb and 4 exalt orbs, every item is just a way to get more exalts. I wish there would be crafting like in LE though, or well any crafting really.

I was really bummed about the auction house part as right now there are tons of atleast xbox players that can't even use the trade website due to some bug about account restrictions, not to mention the hundreds of whispers that go un answered due to people just not wanting to leave what they are doing. Just atleast make a buyout option so I get the item and you get the dough.
