Confirmed Cheating

"
Well I hope a screen shot will suffice, I dont have a youtube creators account. And seeing as it happens in a split second I doubt I will be able to catch it. Its a tricky one to catch cause it can be dismissed as lag (despite there being other grey items on the floor). Then I got to paste it into Imgur and hope... yeah theres no way a screenshot can actualy prove whats happening.

I've been accused of cheating back in the old days when I built a shield charge build around speed clearing. People are currently playing spark builds with blink. If you can confirm it's not just short allocation with a blink build its a good start

hell....even if there WERE a bug associated with allocation: it STILL wouldn't be cheating and doesn't belong in feedback. It would be a BUG and belongs in the bugs forum. But considering I've never heard of anyone mentioning this, including streamers that regularly test and re-test all bugs...

I can show you the loot distribution of the items on the ground but I cant show which items are taken with a screenshot (im not on steam so I cant just fire off screenshots).

Also I have to go through the lengthy boss battle just to get to the item distribution.

Man this is too much work. It would just be nice if GGG could improve thier anti cheat systems without ME having to prove that they dont work.

Either way I'd start thinking about a way to prove it happening since it'll be the first thing ggg asks for when reporting, proof.
Well just wait and see what they say when they're back in roughly a week. It could well be a bug to do with allocation but I've never seen it personally.

No, anyone that has a clue how the game works has given multiple explanations for what is likely happening and asked them to provide proof if they are sure that is not what is going on.

let me just break down this whole thread:
1) OP claims cheating because hes in a party and someone else picked up "his" loot
2) He's called out for providing no pics, or clips, or evidence of any kind
3) OP is ALSO told to check the allocation in the party he's in, or create his OWN party where he can make it permanent allocation.
4) OP then responds that it happened again to him.......AGAIN with no pics, no vids, no acknowledgement of allocation, nothing whatsoever
5) People call him out again
6) Now everyone who disagrees or challenges him is also a "cheater"

Something tells me this is 100% the OP's own fault and ignorance on display. Crying wolf always works!

It is damn near, if not outright, impossible to do what is being described.

Don't forget that they also consider such evil actions such as using a loot filter to be cheating.
I think were just going around in circles now.

I probably shouldn't weigh in here because I dont play any multiplayer, but I think the crux of his argument is that there are still 'greyed out' items on the screen when the good drop disappears. I assume the 'greyed out' item means the timer before its free for all has not expired. To show evidence he would need a 'record what just happened' tool, which obviously he doesn't have.

Cut from the same cloth as the OP...and just as non-believable.

It's funny you write this because, from my count, there are only TWO people in this thread who have responded with no (showing) badges. All the rest have badges, and many with more than you do.

So now is it going to be "trust the person with the most badges"? Because that makes your post worthless.

Lets be clear on one thing: I can have 100 badges....and have less than 100 total hours of playtime. Badges are meaningless. They just mean you like to buy things.

In POE1 some items are ALWAYS permanently allocated to the map owner, such as maps (waystones). I've seen nothing here that suggests the same is not true in POE2.

This is why the majority of people that have done multiplayer in POE1 and POE2 are trying to explain that it is unlikely to be cheating and really is just a misunderstanding of what is happening. If it is cheating, then some sort of evidence is going to be needed to prove it.
