Some people seem to have a hard time understanding that if you've invested a lot of time into something, it's not that simple to just give it up. Why do you have to explain such obvious things to people?

I have no idea. I don't wanna imagine just how many players will feel completely scammed by the time they reach maps(because most are probably still in campaign atm) and realize how much this game disrespects their time.

But did you REALLY lose 10h of mapping ? No you didn't. You lost some XP, which is a tiny part of what you earned in 10h ; inclufing fun.

The only real question is : did you have fun during these 10h ?
If you didn't, WHY did you do it ? GGG forced you to ?

Your mental gymnastics won't change the fact that a person's time investment gets deleted the moment they die and lose progress. Sorry but you're never winning this argument. Twist and turn words and definitions all you want.

Game is Early Access

Game requires feedback

People say EXP LOSS is a bad mechanic

I usually only see one or two kind of people that argues for mechanics such as this.

Usually it's those who tie their ego and self worth to how well they do in a video game. They often get a feeling of superiority for being better than the average gamer, and a mechanic like this is perfect for that.

Or, those who don't value their time at all.

In most cases, it's usually both.

What kind of logic is that? No, if you die after mapping for 10 hours and you lose exp, its absolutely on the devs that such a thing exists in a game. Your time has been wasted for no good reason.

Bro...

You just answered yourself.

You lost XP.

See this

XP = TIME SPENT
XP = PROGRESS

No PROGRESS = STUCK

Who made you lose XP? The game. = The ISSUE.

LOSING PROGRESS = NOT FUN.
LOSING PROGRESS = HAVING TO DO THE SAME THING AGAIN = NOT FUN

Did you finally understand?

If you're target is exp, not loot. Then yes, you did lose hours.

What gymnastic ? What twist ?
I'm asking simple questions. Why is it so hard for you to answer ?

Are you having fun playing the game or not ?
If not, why do you force yourself to play it ?
His max character is 95. I think he doesn't know how painful is to die to some bullshit at 99 :]

I will answer you.

Did I have fun farming 10h? Yes

Did I have fun farming the same 10h to make up for lost progress? No.

Who made me farm the hours again? The game.

Why did I farm again? Because I want to progress the game and have fun again.

Is that cycle crucial for the game each time I die? Answer if it was not obvious: No.

There you go.

So you truly think that 10 points of talent tree out of 120+ are the only vector of progression in the game ?

Not knowledge ;
Not raw skill ;
Not positioning and tactic ;
Not gear ;
Not build ;
Not skill-gem choice and order ;
Not game experience ;
Not reflexes ;

BUT ONLY AND ONLY THE 10 MISSING POINT FROM LEVELING ?

Don't you think you are a bit narrow minded about how to progress in the game ?

yeah ppl complain about taxes too, lets remove those and see how things go.

'i don't like this so remove it' is not feedback, especially on a mechanic that is indeded to be a negative outcome due to failure in a game.
