POE 2 loses it's identity/face on end-game
" Armour is clearly just copies from POE 1 so it lacks tech to do around. It's not subject to talk how to fix that now - because they know what will do in future. And making temporary resolutions and spending resources on balancing stuff that will got in future more tech- that is considered as "must have" like fortify in poe. Is no way to make things better but result in more work later. |

" You might want to check D4 once again since that game is far from zoomer centric tbh Easier in term of difficulty? most likely, but filled generic zoomer build or zoom or get zoomed by enemy? far from it Last edited by SolusiRadikal#3269 on Jan 23, 2025, 12:09:01 PM

" D4 is a mobile joke with no any deep. Last time i logged to check how it changes i got 5 bags of uniques for max level. This game is pure joke. And yes - it's about zooming and over-stimulation with big numbers. |

" EVERYTHING is subject to talk now. It's literally early access and a solid foundation for every mechanic should be shaped now. Also, considering the rest of your reply you probably didn't read the linked post. |

Do you guys think game will get some "identity" of first 3 acts or being changed more to be copy of poe 1 and zooming fiesta again for new content 0.2 drop?
i feel like they will change poe 2 into poe 1 and close poe 1 after majority of people change poe 1 to 2. I mean.. i don't want - i want poe 2 to have it's own identity of first 3 acts and being slower - with zooming being available after late-late end game and not early-end game.. but you know. I feel like it gets casualized and that they talked "playing better" is way to overcome encounters will not have it's value here and we will be able to only over-level and over-power monsters |

It starts as a game where theres a story and cool interactions (ok it's just whacking metal into a tree but still) and then as time goes on again it's just alva looking at a pad and you walking thru a time-gate to the past where for some reason you end up in what feels like a space ship with lazer shooting robots? I dunno man, it's weird.
End game is mud - it shouldn't just be farming or maps, should be actual group shit to do with challenging bosses that take 5+ people to kill and not just some over geared bro in the group to insta-kill it while half the group is at the entrance trying to click "arena" because it's the most poorly designed door in Poe1 and Poe2. I won't mention games with 10/20/40 man raids and progression of instances and how much more fun that shit was than maps (yep still playing as haven't logged into this for weeks) - could easily have 10 on a map in poe2, it's not like the latency could get any worse But to think they're going to keep a player base by just adding new maps or in poe1 they added T16 and just gassed up the damage and shit for a league or two before they dumbed it down, lol. Maps a map. They seem to have no idea how to create meaningful end game stuff that -everyone- or at least most people will enjoy. If you say you enjoy running 200 maps a day then you're probably a pyshco, you could be doing something way more fun, if they ever used their brains or hired someone creative. Attack/casting speed needs diminishing returns/a cap.
AoE and ranged abilities need their damage turned down significantly. Monster movement speed needs to go down, while health and defenses go up significantly. 80% of the abilities we currently have available are quite literally useless because the only viable ones are the "blaster" abilities people can scale infinitely No build is ever going to utilize maim, pinning, slow, damage reduction curses, Blinding, etc. when blowing up the entire screen instantly is the "correct" way to play |

" Nothing to add, agree 100%. Also high investment should only bring more QOL at certain pooint, not the ability to 1 tap all content in the game. And would also wish myself meaningful ancd challanging fights with rares and even trashmobs who behave intelligent. F.e. shield skeletons in front protect mage skeletons and a healer behind them, while blue mob Occultist try to finish an ongoing ritual....And if you don't kill the Occultists fast enough they ressurect some kind of Miniboss who can make the fight way more challanging. ;) Or Rhoas protecting a nest with charges and knockbacks and if you dont destroy the nest fast enough very fast & deadly hatchlings attack you (Because they're very hungry). PLease Jonathan, stick to your vision with POE2 and don't let the game become a POE 1.5 (esp in endgame). Act1-3 Normal for the first time was the best time I had in any ARPG, please give us this feeling throughout all the game and no matter the investment. :) Last edited by CroDanZ#1818 on Mar 20, 2025, 10:42:00 AM

" true and agree. Slowing game and increasing difficulty. To distinct two games.. and make the people who want poe 2 to be poe 1 finally go out and return to poe 1. Also i tihnk poe 1 need graphical rework.. to distinct games with mechanic and pace of gameplay. Season 0 is a sad joke.. and game is even faster than poe 1 and the same over-stimulating from speed and not meaningfull. Most skills are useless.
