0.1.0d Hotfix 1

I'm a casual PoE player and I only get to play a few hours before going to bed...been grinding my Stormweaver to gain access to CoF Comet and this happens.

A lot of people invested their time, effort, and in-game currency to play builds like these. The nerfs were so sudden that a lot of players won't even have time nor the resources to fix their already dead builds.

I guess I'll just have to rest for now. I'm not even motivated to start a new build. The least GGG could do is compensate the community with a free respec.

I do get that it is still early access. They could have just compiled all the data and made adjustments at launch or made some minor tweaks like reduce the damage of these builds.

That's just my take on this.

I'm not here to complain about the balance changes, but I am going to complain about the freeze ups. Ever since the patch the game is about unplayable with freeze ups happening in the middle of battles. Then, all of a sudden the screen plays catch up in fast-forward and I'm dead.

This patch made the game unplayable, YOU HAVE TO ROLL IT BACK!!!

Guys how can some of you really think that any seemingly overpowered interaction that in itself carries you without to much investment through the game will possibly stay in the game?

Please keep in mind that this is an early access and GGG have not been known for being overly punishing about interactions of skills or items that do not work as intended and seem to be stronger than expected. They infact have been keeping a "no changes during league - only if its gamebreaking" policy up for years and try their best to make the game as balanced and challenging as possible.

If you really want a free loot shooter I think you should probably stick to PoE1 which will be even greater now getting all new improvements that are developed during PoE2 early access.

We benefit so much of player/developer interaction please dont be so "whiny" about it - no hate. Just keep it real guys, you are not suppossed to delete half the game with one skill interaction. You need to plan builds, find interactions that will be situationally good or benefit your playstyle. And sometimes you just have to push through. Also remember we are all learing the game right now - we are a lot more beta testers then before and of course there will be interactions that get changed.

I simply cannot stand the overall criticism about changing skills and needing to respec builds as it was more then expected during the early weeks if you ask me. - it is for our sake to keep the game interesting and challenging as long as possible. You need to understand that they do this for us to keep the game interesting for several years to come. So go grab another skill and start crafting and enjoying the process together.

Trigger spells on invoker unplayable, thx for ruining fun builds

Finished Act 3 last night, got into Cruel Act 1. Loging in today, my Stormweaver sorc frost build feels bricked.

Where I could easily clear pack of mobs previously, now have to hide behind Frost Wall to cast Comet or spam Frost Bolts to barely clear them. Feels bad.

Can't respec either because not a lot of gold and Hooded One still hanging on a tree.

So, deleted character and starting over as feels easier than respecing and what I had did not work anymore.

Please, in the future - add an option for free respec so people could pivot to try something else then you change stuff like this.

I completely get this, I'm also one of those guys that don't have copious amounts of time to play, so it is frustrating AF.

The free respec is need throughout the EA if they want to make massive changes like this. I didn't even plan on going cast on crit comet build, but even the current changes just upset and upended the cart for so many people friends aren't playing, and I also don't feel it now until they balance this, or allow free respec and resource so we can "test" early access for them seeing as we paid to get early access anyway.

The numbers on steam are already showing that this patch has many people not playing, and for everyone saying it is all the comet cast on something build people, it's not just them impacted. Friends, parties, etc all are affected, so it is a bit larger than just the nerf, the whole play style, strategies, etc are impacted, solo and coop based.
