the thing that is most frustrating about this patch and nerf, is the thing I haven't seen any mention of in the comments.

that is:

aside from the echo chamber, of thousands of players unable to play builds because cast on anything got NUKED from outer orbit of the solar system, is why there were so many players, so many classes playing a cast on x build?

why was there monks playing a sorcerer build?

something that was touted as revolutionary in POE 2, the fact that when cutting a gem it gives you the recommended support gem.

up until the middle of act 3 I was ONLY cutting gems from the recommended list. only when I began hitting walls and unable to progress did I start experimenting and looking for other solutions. as I progressed further into act 3 the wall got bigger and bigger and more unpassable.

at Viper Napuatzi, I received the full DEADSTOP ROADBLOCK on progress, unable to progress, and not just bosses but any zone thereafter, using the RECOMMENDED GEMS AND RECOMMENDED SUPPORT GEMS that was supposed to make builds so much easier and intuitive!

and now to add to the echo-chamber, I BANKRUPTED MYSELF converting my build to a Cast on ignite/meteor monk. I sold every item in my stash tabs, I literally do not even have spare flasks anymore, sold, in order to afford respec costs. finally got my build converted, and it was feeling good. feeling decent as I just got into cruel. I was actually able to kill some monsters and a few bosses.

my build was starting to feel good, WAY BETTER THAN IT DID USING THE RECOMMENDED GEMS AND SUPPORTS FOR A MONK.

and now, that this patch has obliterated my build right as I'm about to fight Geonor. I literally cannot kill more than 3 white mobs.

I need over 30 dexterity to even slot in my old staff on my old build, and have less than 6k gold. nowhere near enough to to respec even into my OLD BUILD.

I AM UNABLE TO PROGRESS, I AM UNABLE TO GO BACK. A CAST ON X BUILD FELT BETTER THAN THE RECOMMENDED GEMS AND SUPPORTS ON MONK.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO? MAKE A NEW CHARACTER THAT I CAN SLOG MY WAY THROUGH ANOTHER 70 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY THAT MAY OR MAY NOT GET BLASTED FORM OUTERPSACE?

WHAT KIND OF FUTURE DO I HAVE AS A PLAYER, IF THIS CHANGE IS ALLOWED TO COMMENCE, WITH NO RECOMUPANCE?

If you want Path of Exile 2 to be a mobile game then just say so. No reason to give people false hope by keeping Trigger gems in the game at all.

Stop with all the "no fun allowed" stuff - when all people do is going towards the most out of bound builds there is.

Everyone could see that this would be changed, the Cast on effect stuff and gas exploding.

Its pretty clear that PoE2 is not about getting the ability to face roll through content that easily and early in the game and some builds just provided that.

Rule to go by, if this seems like its "too easily achieved and no real investment" then its most likely going to get changed.

Also, its Christmas - take a break, go hang out with your family or something, come back to it later and see what's up.

People act like their entire life is ruined due to some changes. Makes me think that they don't have the ability to work around it and explore new options or they need to touch grass.

Genius like modifications that add insult to injury to the game, don't you think you've done it really well? I've never seen a game planner so brainless. Your dog poop plot is stinky and long. You said the first three chapters of the plot might take 25 hours. I'm happy to hear this news, which means the game content will be rich. However, you only increased the number of enemies and map size, and now you have to weaken skills. Do you really know how difficult it is to start a new game? D4 didn't do as badly as you did. Are you really playing the game? Now almost all BD games are useless and can only be forced to eat shit. Games should be enjoyable and full of structure, and you have successfully destroyed everything

REDUCE / FREE RESPEC WHEN?

I have spent the last few days grinding the campaign.
I finally completed it last night and went to bed dreaming of making maps today. I go up, start the game and my build is completely destroyed.
I can't even begin to explain how I feel, because it would get me banned.
Congratulations! You are officially worse than Blizzard.

I'm not gonna spend more time in this game, building a character just to see it destroyed.
I wish I could refund the money I gave for early access. I literally never have been more disappointed and angry at a game in my life and I'm over 40...

The response from community is clear.
If your goal is to make thousands of people uninstall the game, which has tons of issues anyway, go ahead.

Yesterday I thought I'm not going to D4 for the next season, but I guess I am after all...

I understand that it's required for huge changes in EA, But why can't you provide respec points to people whose character are completely bricked? it cost me 450k gold to respec into a different build and I can't even farm gold due to the entire build not working anymore.
