0.1.0d Patch Notes
I dont mind that they have balanced/fixed things.
I am frustrated I cannot afford to respec, and I cannot do the content that provides enough gold to respec. I feel like my options are to re-roll or stop playing. Guess I will take a break for a while and come back in a few days. |
|
Since the performance of the build changes frequently with patches, I hope we can do respec free or cheaper

Let me just delete it real quick, i needed 1 week to finish your long *** campin after work. Now i have few days off, just finished the acts and simply cant play bc of the nerf hammer and i have 150k gold ^^ 1 more week for new char? to nerf it again to the ground, nty. And guess what there is no other option for cold sorc which is probably the worst class. Another 30$ wasted typical 2024 gaming.

I don't care, I'll play basic attacks if need to, give me my skins!!!!. Good shit tho

Doesn’t it depend on the damage of the skill? EoW playstyle essential reduces the damage to increase number of projectiles. Maybe try increase the damage of EoW and reduce the number of projectiles it shoots and you should get faster energy generation. If frost bolt is bigger damage maybe you need more mana regen. I don’t know, everyone is saying they need to respec so it seems no one has even tried testing anything different.

ITT:
1) People who think they are game developers. 2) People who think this is a fully finished game which should never change. (BTW? I am currently playing Cast on Freeze sorc, and yeah, it sucks. But it's also early access. None of our characters are going to even be playable in standard when 1.0 comes out) |
|
how about making respecs free, like why should it cost anything with your approach to balance?

" This isn't an alpha. This isn't a beta. This is Early Access. Alpha and Beta have already passed. Many, MANY waves of testing with Game Testers and Path of Exile hardcore players. Early Access isn't a test period. It's early access to the game. |

" Eye of Winter is a level 52 skill... I was following your logic until you listed the highest level Ice spell. GGG wants to prevent low level spells from proccing these skills too easily, i.e. Spark/Frostbolt. Should these skills be balanced, probably. There are so many other ways this could have been handled. Firstly, if "Monster Power" is what makes it easier to balance. Change the values. Needing to hit 10-20 Normal mobs for one proc doesn't make sense. But you can now proc it more often on bosses? I played this for the clear, not bossing. There is too much happening in the Monster Power definition, Avg is 1, Strong is 2 or 3 and weak is 0.5 maybe none. AND THEN they care about Rarity. Normal 1x. Magic 2x. Rare 5x. Unique 5x. Why don't we just remove the first bit? And just have a multiplier on rarity? Why not set a base to number of procs? Have an internal cooldown of how often it can proc, time not energy. In my mind 1 to 1 was a bit much, but it was fun. So how about 3 to 5 hits for 1 proc? And then Magic, Rare and Unique gain boosts or other benefits? I personally think if you freeze a Unique and earn a proc, it should trigger twice. Shouldn't these mob types have higher resistances? Higher thresholds? These builds needed to take extra exposure and aliment buildup to work. Reduce the passive tree nodes then? I think we could have found a middle ground instead of going 100 to 0. |

" This as well. I will say though that Frostbolt as a 4L (with varying supports) is still -far- less clear than EoW/Cast on Freeze/Comet was pre-patch. Essentially, you're back to freezing then using cold snap to finish things off. It works, just not as well. |
