To people defending GG over 'cast on' nerfs:
You don't ever realize the issue. It's not about a broken build being nerfed, early access or free respecs. It's about that the problem wasn't fixed, instead a bigger one was created. What's the goal? To make every skill balanced and playable. If 'cast on' skills were overpowered, making them completely unusable instead doesn't fix the issue. It's still unbalanced. But people lost their time, effort, fun and most importantly the trust in fixing issues like this in the future. This 'rework' of the skill is completely bad, I wouldn't have thought to make it like this in a million years but now it's in a live patch. Have anyone think it through before letting it through, maybe test it on an actual build before implementing such changes? How come 'cast on' is now even better at bossing (which was probably the only place where I would say it could be a bit overpowered, but not as much as other builds that are still there), but you cant proc it on normal monsters? So you have to spend most time on killing trash mobs which don't give any loot and xp? Is it the logic? Maybe buff other skills which people use to proc 'cast on' effects so they would be able to clear white monsters first? Maybe you should self cast the skill for clear and then gemswap to 'cast on' for bosses? |

Not listed in patch notes - Changed the functionality of Cast on Crit to only trigger 10 times per map (if you have a 50% crit rate).
Every Cast on X build is completely broken. Why not just delete the skills, or rename them? Cast on crit should cast when you crit. Not when you crit 200 times. |

The patch notes are incomplete. Just from the couple skills that I'm using I found at least 2 changes that were not listed:
The Cold infusuion support gem on herald of ice does not affect other skills anymore. I guess this was a bug that got fixed but it wasn't in the patch notes. And the tempest bell + freezing salvo with scatter shot combo got massively nerfed, it deals like 80% less damage than before the patch. Not sure what exactly changed, it'd be great if you let us know. |

If you don't want people to use trigger spells take them off the game. No one is going to use a spell that can't be counted on, which is what trigger spells have now become. Except "Cast on Minion Death" that already couldn't be counted on for anything before this patch.

GGG should announce what will be nerf soon not just hotfix it.
Normal players spent 30-40 hours to finish the story line with just one build and you nerfed it easily. People spent exalts to upgrade their builds, you even can’t return it back. What GGG should hotfix is your large map and storyline guide! Such a disgusting fix. |

why not just add a negative multiplier to gems linked to cast on skills to try and bring the builds in-line with others?
nerf the damage not the gameplay :) |

Pre nerf my CoC Comet would proc on 7 crit hits in white mobs, now is 44 crit hits. Using eye of winter its still viable but dont feel good like before and my map clear is much slower.
Sadly CoF is way worse. From 1 cast per freeze now is 1 every 15 freeze white mobs. For reference, i have 100% increase energy gain and spend a lot of points in the tree for it. Same for freeze build up. I was expecting some kind of nerf on comet sinergy with energy skills but this huge nerf hits really hard. All that is ok, nerfs... But i really want to play the game, and i cant. Today my game freeze in the loading screen in almost every load, i must restart the game and pray to enter my maps. It was working fine yesterday. |

I have lost all respect to GGG from a time around acquisition by Tencent.
To all new people, old poe used to run on absolute potatoes with no issues. Until tencent and hiring a balance team. I could barely get 60 fps going last few years on decent pc that runs cyberpunk better than it does poe. The only thing that was fun for me in poe2 was that i didnt get 240p picture when more than 20 mobs appeared on the screen. But all fun has to end, and today i just realized that i knew all along. I just wanted to believe that somehow old GGG would be back for this release. Game from gamers, that's what original Path of Exile was. Now its corpo slop for corpo gains. I dont regret spending 30 bucks, i dont regret time i spent on this new slop of exile 2. I only regret that i imagined it could be good. |

I cant believe you care so little about long term fans. Genuienly out of the blue you remove an intended mechanic, being cast on trigger, which is literally the point of an entire ascendancy. Then lock the player in the ascendancy and dont let them respec. Its sad. This is the third character ive had to roll and im sick of it. Whens the ranger lighting arrow oneshot or minions nerfed ? They never should be because they are also intended but its sad to see that you hit everything remotely fun...

since this patch i cant move and shoot Spark it just jerks about and i stay in the same spot... seems to not impact other spells that i've seen...
