While I get that balancing the game is important, the frequency of patches—often without warning—has been really frustrating. It feels like there’s little consideration for how these changes affect players who can’t adapt as quickly.

For some of us, it takes a lot of time to refine a build, and it’s disheartening when updates suddenly make those builds ineffective. The constant need to rebuild or re-strategize can take the fun out of the game, especially when there’s no heads-up or patch notes ahead of time to plan around.

What’s even more confusing is how some builds get patched almost immediately after being featured by streamers, while other clearly broken DPS-cap builds remain untouched for ages. It comes across as selective or inconsistent, which adds to the frustration.

I think it would be fairer to have clearer communication and a bit more time between patches to let people adjust. It’s not just about nerfing builds but about giving everyone a chance to enjoy the game without feeling like their progress is constantly being invalidated.

this is early access beta testing mate.

I understand your point, but this isn’t a beta—it’s early access. The difference is important because early access games are typically presented as closer to a finished product, with players expecting a more stable and polished experience.

Frequent, unannounced patches might make sense during a beta phase focused purely on testing, but in early access, where players are essentially paying for a preview of the final product, a balance between iteration and stability is essential. Clear communication and more predictable updates would help align with those expectations while still allowing for feedback and improvements.

you also missing the fact that this one was one of the biggest launches in gaming history. The hype was insane!! 1.3 mil viewers on twitch on day one!! This was GGGs opportunity to make a good impression to hundreds of thousands of new players to their game.

and not even a week in they shit all over everyone.
LMAO at every cast on player, maybe they'll lower the cost of respec at least
who the hell is gonna use any trigger skill ever if youre making them all worthless
Thanks for the update GGG, great changes all around.

Has the crash on loading screen issue been fixed though? Would be nice to see some announcement on this at some point so I don't have to disable multithreading every time I hit a loading screen to be safe with my PC not freezing.

Didn't see it mentioned but the patch notes mention miscellaneous crash fixes.

Keep up the good work in any case. Glad to see you're not compromising your vision.
I'm not playing a toon that got nailed by Cof but either we need cheap respecs during EA or free ones .. patches come quick and often in EA..and people have bricked characters..thanks
I don't even play trigger builds. My build was completely unaffected and still strong and I'm not gonna tell a fuckin soul what it is now.

Adding a +1 though to the dissatisfaction towards this patch. Let the game be fun for people. The core of what makes PoE 1 fun isn't that we can clear maps in seconds, it's getting to do just dumb ridiculous builds that somehow still work.

The biggest misses for PoE 2 so far are the skill restrictions behind weapons, and what seems to be a mentality that gameplay has to be severely limited and roadmapped into their own little sections.

All this effort being put into slowing the entire playerbase down is cannibalising the game's community and losing touch with what makes PoE great in the first place.
yea, im kinda done playing the EA now. thanks.
now cast on freeze is useless what is the point of putting skills to automate build if they are going to eliminate any method of automation later on

I truly thought the guys at GGG had nailed it with Path of Exile 2. I believed they'd learned from the rough seasons of POE 1 and understood that constantly nerfing everything without offering real solutions only leads to player frustration and boredom.

Don’t get me wrong, adjusting things that aren’t functioning properly is fine, but completely ruining the majority of builds in just one patch, especially when many of us are enjoying the game, seems like a poor strategy. To make matters worse, the cost to respect the passive tree is 500,000 gold, which is impossible to afford with a build that no longer works.

Anyone else feeling the same?

Thought you were being serious until you brought up the 500,000 gold, even though I should have caught on when you said they are "ruining the majority of builds" when they haven't touched 99% of the potentially strong builds yet at all.

Objectively false statements, but some people do think that way.

Well played, well played.
