This is EARLY ACCESS and obviously people have never played a GGG game before.

This is sorta wild at how toxic a lot of people are in here. So far all changes are good. IF you dont like it dont play till full release.

Let me guess? You are not playing 'cast on' build?
I bet your just a hypocrite who would do the same, but just lucky to play the build that wasn't dumpstered.

You probably don't even realize what's the problem here, nobody would be so sour if 'cast on' builds were actually that broken and would stayed at least mediocre after the nerf, but not completely bricked.

How would you feel if suddenly the skill you're using would get a tooltip saying: "this skill doesn't deal any damage unless it's hitting at least 30 monsters at a time or a rare/unique enemy.

Nah, this is some real "touch grass" behavior. It's early access. It was obviously OP. People saw the nuke coming. I think it's reasonable to ask for respecs to be free but people in this thread are having childish meltdowns (please don't stop btw, I just got a second bucket of popcorn).

You need to grow up, kid

Guys, just keep 100k+ gold in your inventory for respecs and don't forget that this is a beta test))

so much whining, as if we were discussing d4)

you copied broken builds in the first 4 days after the beta was released and now you're whining like casual kids)

well said
Well done. Now ppl's just dont want play your game due to your decisions.
78h wasted. Even respec wont help cuz i spend 80% of my currency.
Will i try to other character ? absolutly no. No reason to trust.
And reduce the cost of resetting skill points. Or remove the gold reset for now. This is early access, let people try different builds

Fixed a bug where you could not open a portal in The Riverbank in Cruel difficulty.

GGG please check.

I am on act 1 cruelty, went back to temple of chaos act 3 normal.
Open portal to town sent me to Ziggurat before gateway.
The waypoint is disabled.
Went thru gateway send me back to riverbank.
Now we can open portal, but the portal go back to Ziggurat before gateway.
Riverbank all over again.
*sigh* Here we go again

While I get that balancing the game is important, the frequency of patches—often without warning—has been really frustrating. It feels like there’s little consideration for how these changes affect players who can’t adapt as quickly.

For some of us, it takes a lot of time to refine a build, and it’s disheartening when updates suddenly make those builds ineffective. The constant need to rebuild or re-strategize can take the fun out of the game, especially when there’s no heads-up or patch notes ahead of time to plan around.

What’s even more confusing is how some builds get patched almost immediately after being featured by streamers, while other clearly broken DPS-cap builds remain untouched for ages. It comes across as selective or inconsistent, which adds to the frustration.

I think it would be fairer to have clearer communication and a bit more time between patches to let people adjust. It’s not just about nerfing builds but about giving everyone a chance to enjoy the game without feeling like their progress is constantly being invalidated.

this is early access beta testing mate.

I understand your point, but this isn’t a beta—it’s early access. The difference is important because early access games are typically presented as closer to a finished product, with players expecting a more stable and polished experience.

Frequent, unannounced patches might make sense during a beta phase focused purely on testing, but in early access, where players are essentially paying for a preview of the final product, a balance between iteration and stability is essential. Clear communication and more predictable updates would help align with those expectations while still allowing for feedback and improvements.

this is a reasonable take

Ah, and there's the salt for my popcorn.
why did GGG hire blizzard staff for the nerfing?

bro the campaign is awful like 20-30h of huge zones and the respec costs are massive (its a beta test right? why are respect costs so high)

they don't even bother to buff the badly performing skills, they just nerf the builds they see streamers play? it's so bad it hurts
they should care less about the people watching the game on twitch streams and more time just trying to make a good game

all this is going to do is get people to quit. like why punish people for actually playing your game lol

I didn't even play these builds either, I play a merc and the gameplay is not good. but nothing on buffing the bolts or anything, just rushing out because they care so much about what streamers are doing? embarrassing behavior
