As far as I've seen 200ish regen is around what you can get without warping your whole tree around it. All the setups that I've seen which go for more have a very spread out jewel focused tree.

Another thing you can do is get a "From nothing" jewel keyed to Bulwark or Unwavering Stance and grab the Hale Heart cluster, this is like 6 div though.

Then there's Mask of the Stitched Demon setups but those are insanely glass cannon IMO (yes including the MoM or Everlasting Gaze ones)

Lastly is getting life sustain from recoup stacking and self damage from Pyro Pact, but that's a huge investment on a different axis.

Some jewel tech for anyone unaware: Time-lost Ruby jewels can get +7% life regen per notable in radius (which can be large). For my tree not great, but for some builds could be a significant upgrade over a normal Ruby with +15% regen. Good luck searching the trade site for these though, was a huge pain in the ass.

I tried out Eye of Winter as a primary damage spell for a bit. It's functional, with Chain and Snakepit ring for more chain it has decent clear, and of course DF stacks give it acceptable damage. I went back to Spark pretty quickly as Spark is just too comfy of a skill atm, but if someone really likes the aesthetic Eye of Winter seems like a totally viable DF build.

Crest of Ardura gives a 50% increased cooldown recovery rate, so staying in demonform isn't priority 1, I think it's pr good for spirit and mana maxing without using capped demonform

In summary: mobs are melting. even outside demonform. thats tier VI at lv 76. Having mana problems thou. i dont like to flask all the time.

This is one thing I really dont like about demonform: it doesn't support weapon tech because weapons are disabled.

You can get quite a lot more mana on gear, especially if you're not using Ming's or Ghostwrithe.

I've been experimenting with a version that uses pyromantic pact + recoup to fuel demon form stacks and barrier invocation for damage. Here's a maxroll link for what I currently have:

Its not exactly straight forward to put together though, there's a lot of moving parts.

My build can go without ming's, but I cant just get rid of Ghostwrithe. If i do, lose a ton of energy shield (im at 8200) to get up to 1200 hp.

also, the weekness of every build i tried is rares that have an aura that prevents recovery. Since i stay in demomform all the time, that kills me quickly and unexpectaly.

so after working around capped demon form for hundreds of hours all i want is (a) have 2 shapeshift weapon sets and (b) capped demon form needs to get a tiny damage buff like get an added 1.1-1.2 mult. well overall 1.2 is big of course but copared to sustaining 200 stacks its small.

i also think the self damage node sucks unless you break it with some type of loss of energy shield loop or recoup tech.

edit: btw. i highly recommend flameblast + cast on ignite detonate dead and get a tree with tons of cast speed. use movement support gem and you can supercharge through the map.
