Infernalist Caster Discusson- aka Demon Form fixes waiting room (or maybe it's already decent?)

Mathil is now playing Demonform using Essence Drain. Nothing really new there in terms of build tech yet, but I guess it's getting some more public spotlight so prices for ES stuff with life regen might rise ><
I’m relatively new to Path of Exile and still trying to understand some of the mechanics and formulas, so I’d appreciate any guidance.

Currently, my base life total (without equipment) is 1147. I’m using two Ming’s Heart rings and the Ghostwrithe robe.

Ming’s Heart: -20% maximum life each
Ghostwrithe: Converts 50% of maximum life to energy shield.
By my understanding, my life after equipping these items should be calculated as:

1147×0.5−2×(1147×0.5×0.2)=344

(In-game it shows as 346, but that’s close enough to illustrate the point.)

I’ve seen posts and builds where people manage to reach 200 life with similar setups. Is this achievable only by corrupting these items?

For example, assuming perfectly corrupted items (Ghostwrithe with 60% life conversion and Ming’s Heart with -25% life each), my calculation would be:

1147×0.4−2×(1147×0.4×0.25)=229

Even with perfect corruptions, 200 life seems extremely hard to reach. Am I missing something? Are there other interactions, items, or mechanics that can push life even lower?
make sure you dont get the life bonus from the act quests
Perfect Ming's have the life reduction increased by 20% from corruption and 20% from catalysts (ring/amulet quality items). So the max is -28% life per Ming's.

Also you get some life from levels so characters in the 90s have a harder time hitting 200.

And yeah unfortunately there's a quest a lot of people did to get a little bit of life.
I finally had to drop incinerate and demon form in maps because the survivability is just so much higher going minions. I had 400 life, 4500 ES at level 70 without using Ming's and had enough life regen on items to let me not even have to notice until about 75 stacks and then health potions would take me to about the 100-115 area. Ming's rings are all being targeted by bots that are immediately buying any ring for under 5 exalts and repricing it to 1 divine. I would try to experiment with the build without using it and just using ghostwrithe as you can get a good taste for it without spending too much. Usually rares with 20+ life regen is sufficient in combination with some + life regen rate jewels on the tree.

Like a previous poster said above, life regen items are going up in price rapidly on the trading site, especially if they got resists on them. The good news is you're not searching +life so a lot of them are still affordable. So there is 1 particular stat you can search for on gloves and rings that will make it so you can really hold the form for a long time in hairy situations, you want +life on kill in 30-40hp range. This makes it so stacks of mobs will sustain your demon form for a long time on breaches or dense maps and not go back to human until the danger has passed. If you have mana problems do the same stat for mana and cast detonate dead until your heart's content.

Unfortunately I also did the quests that increase my total life.

I forgot about the catalysts. Thanks. By the way which catalyst should I use to enhance the reduction of life?

Added a video from youtuber Kattkills for a Cast on Ignite setup triggering comets with Hexblast, and using Pyro Pact. Looks genuinely impressive though quite glass cannon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4AoV6z4Dwo Includes an Arbiter 4 kill.

My own Spark build has gotten Arbiter 1, Simulacrum 1, Xesht 4 so far. I kinda wanted to find the keys for this stuff on my own but it takes so insanely long, might spend all my money on keys just to finish out the content lol.

Flesh Catalyst
I've been calcing a bit on my flameblast build to get single target higher and I'm confused about how flameblast scales damage. Maybe someone can help me: Flameblast gem says it gives 200% more damage per stage. So shouldnt that be 2 to the power of 10 more damage? As an example a bit simplified. I have 200 base damage and about 500% spell damage bonus bringing it to 1000 base damage. The more multiplier would raise this by either 1024 or 20. Now the first version would give me 100k damage the second version would give me around 20k where in truth it felt more like I did 40-50 fighting excavation boss. I thought I was still on 97% fire pen at that point. So I'm getting confused.

Bonus question, I'm checking boss stats on poe2db to calculate how good it would be to spec into ignite magnitude and chance but all the Pinnacle bosses i check have no ailment threshold number. Do we miss this info or do have none? Kinda annoying because it's important to estimate chance and it takes a long time to trial and error it.

You might be aware of this hat there is an energy shield node that reduces your max life by 10%. This should be enough to get you there.
anyone have some examples of stacking high life regen on uncapped demon form. i can only get to about 200 in my calculation without completely bending efficiency over.
