[EA] Spark Stormweaver - Mana Stacking Archmage MoM+CI - freezing/electrocution

Hey, so I'm doing a bit of testing with your updated build. I'm still pretty early (just started Cruel Act 1) so I don't have all the passive points and highest-tier gems to play with.

One of the things I enjoyed about the older cold-focused build was that I could mix cold and lightning spells, and both would contribute to freeze.

In this build, Frost Orb is not so critical because we don't need cold exposure. I see Frost Wall still has a place, though, which is great because I love the skill. Do you think it'd be worth it to use the Whisper of the Brotherhood ring to convert ice damage to lightning to take advantage of all those lightning damage nodes?

I also note that the three dragons helmet stops lightning damage from contributing to shock chance, and the gloves cause us to build "electrocution" instead. Do all the "+Shock chance" nodes in your passive tree actually contribute to this new electrocution ailment? Not clear on whether there's a difference there, but my initial reading suggests we might not actually see a benefit from +shock chance.

Ive been having a pretty good time with this build on T15 maps for the most part (I swapped in a Cast on Shock + Lightning Conduit setup with Ball Lightning for massive single target boss damage). Electrocute really improves the safety of the build too. This build does have quite a bit of trouble doing breaches in my experience due to the immense pack density. I put in lightning warp with shock siphon and it really helps being able to have a straight AOE option in a pinch! I feel like there is a lot of potential in lightning warp now...
How are you guys getting spirit for both Archmage and Cast on Shock/Freeze? Max rolls on armor/amulet or going wand/scepter?

I've been meaning to try the lightning conduit+cast on shock+double shock application combo for massive boss dmg, but I need my 4th ascendancy (and the spirit on armor to use it)

this is a smart idea. I've been wondering how to best use shock syphon, and was gonna put it in my orb of storms, but spark kills everything too fast for it. using lighting warps inherent culling strike to guarantee syphon procs is very smart.

nope,, but if you're using the CothB ring, it does and it adds frost buildup, so i kept it. It can be deleted from the eletrocution/three dragons build.

you absolutely can, although it isn't necessary. frost wall is a great utility skill that helps block rares (like mana drain. f you, mana drain rare) and can even use mana font if you wanted to delete OoS from your build,a lthough I still quite like it.

Gloves and helm are mutually exclusive. + shock doesn't work on the helm, but it does help on the gloves - not to proc electrocution, but to do what it's supposed to and proc shock for the 20% dmg debuff, which in turn procs lightning exposure off OoS.
Hey to clarify,

You can use either THREE DRAGONS - OR - KITOKOS? Or Both?

Thanks!

If you are using both , then you need the weapon swap mechanics.
Like one from reddit.
Its quite easy to setup, cast spells from main weapon. While disabling helmet due to lack of DEX requirement (off hand tree) and cast balls /curse

Main hand would freeze, while off hand can shock and curse
And setup both trees accordingly for dual weapon setup
Green (offhand)
Red (main hand)

Without it helmet blocks gloves.Or maybe the other way around? dont know which one takes first place :)

Id really recommend it, even swapping what you have on 3rd ascendancy. Ball Lightning w/ scatter and unleash can apply shocks very quickly, and if you have specced into shock magnitude the resulting lightning conduit can chunk or even one shot map bosses.

Actually, the culling part is pretty unreliable. I tried running it with soul siphon (the mana recovery on cull) but it didnt really work. But the explosion from the warp has a surprising amount of damage! And the cast time is really short, so you can spam it if you have a chain of targets available for massive damage. If you kill an entire pack with the warp, you recover a lot of ES.

I was so surprised by how good it felt that I've been experimenting with using it and ball lightning as the main clear engine instead of spark, and it kinda works. It clears really, really quickly and when things go well you dont even have to wait around for ES to regen, since you can siphon from mobs. It does feel more rippy, but really only when you don't have any ball lightnings out to teleport to when things get dicey. Otherwise you can warp out and fallback to spark while moving backwards. You also have to be very careful about on-death effects since you are teleporting all over the place. If I could consistently keep at least one ball lightning out at all times, I think it would be insane....
I'm trying out Kitoko's, and as far as I can tell electrocute is *replacing* shock for my lightning damage. I'm not applying shock to anyone. This also seems to mean lightning exposure on orb of storms doesn't do anything, since it only applies on shock and not on electrocute.

What am I missing?

Oh, I see what you mean.

I've actually been running both the gloves and the helm simultaneously, which is interesting because the electrocution and freeze ailments build up independently, so you can cycle between them.

Neither shock nor chill, though, without the ascendency.

I just switched to Three Dragons. How are you killing rares/bosses quickly? With the shock build I was decimating unique bosses and staggering their stun bar. With this build it is much harder for me to kill bosses and proc Cast on Freeze Comet on them. On normal mobs it is easy.

How can I stack freeze buildup on bosses/rares easier? Am I missing something
