POE 2 is fantastic, and i hope the devs don't listen to the vocal minority

I'm loving the game. Like you said..the polish is amazing and some nice QoL features already in EA is fantastic. I'm a bit surprised so many are complaining so much about the difficulty. Not because it's not hard..it is. But rather because this *IS* EA. I don't doubt they will tweak things whether it's mob difficulty or player power (they already had some of this even though I think it was just a nerf of a particular skill).

I like that the pacing/difficulty is different than PoE and that it's more deliberate combat. I also see where people are coming from on the difficulty. I think it's probably a bit too hard but not a lot. I'm not that far into the game yet but some of the regular trash mobs are just insanely powerful and I'm guessing the leveling experience will vary GREATLY depending what class/build you pick and your overall skill level. IMO they could probably smooth out the ramp of difficulty a bit but I hope they don't do it too much. It doesn't have to look/play like PoE1 to be good.

Overall the game is pretty solid and performance is pretty good. I have been crashing periodically but not enough to ruin my experience. Again, this *IS* EA. I expected bugs, crashes, performance issues, balance changes and maybe even class changes. Keep up the great work GGG!

Absolute Agree, bro

I haven’t been able to play the game because I don’t have a key, but I’ve spent my free time watching streamers play on Twitch and have drawn a few conclusions.

I feel the game isn’t too difficult if we focus on upgrading our own gear. With 50% resist, it’s much easier to get through bosses. PoE1 already featured fast-paced gameplay, mob skipping, one-button kills, and a "running simulator" vibe. The result was a drastic drop in player numbers, losing up to two-thirds of its player base by the second month of each new league.

If people want a more relaxed experience, they can stick with PoE1 instead of switching to PoE2. We don’t need a PoE1 disguised as PoE2.
Now I can play Poe 2
Thank so much, bro
I agree, it has the potential to be the greatest game of all time in my eyes. I honestly don't understand why people are complaining so much, i don't find the game THAT difficult, it's hard yeah but it's not that crazy, i was expecting it to be much harder considering what streamers were saying about close beta, but apparently they didn't have blue gear or support gems.

The only thing that i kinda disagree is about the storytelling, i'm not into it at all so far, it hasn't caught my attention, if the lore was at the level of everything else the game would be a 11/10, but it's not the case so far, maybe it gets better later, will see. We don't play PoE for the lore anyways, so it's fine.

Other than that, greatest game that i've played in so many years, and it's not even close.

Edit: i was saying character models look a bit off, i stand corrected, they look amazing, i said that because i was starting the game and i saw how the Sorcerer looks, (she looks pretty bad to be honest, her head is way too big, her proportions are off and cartoony, she looks like a Last Epoch character), but other than that everything looks so good.

Don't worry, you're the new audience they targetted, enjoy...

PS: Don't forget the vocal minority you're talking about is the PoE1 core players base who allowed to have a PoE2 now...

I mean as you said yourself, you do not own the game and can only tell from a viewer perspective. There is a lot of things going on in PoE2 which makes it not as fun. This is the second/third day after the EA release and there surely will be some tweaks and buffs/nerfs (we already saw one) I absolutely understand the frustration a lot of players are facing.
You are saying "with 50% res ..." but how do you get there? For many many players there isnt really an easy way to get there since they dont drop any currency. BEsides of Augs and Trans there arent really much drops. And even if , you cant craft a specific mod. You throw your transmute on it and get +mana then your aug and get 10 life. Awesome. But you dont need those mods. So search for a new base and repeat. But you dont have enough currency to craft until you get you desired mods. Which is fine, you shouldnt be able to craft perfect gear in campaign but still you are missing currency to craft.

Let me ask you, as, I think a well versed PoE1 player, like to run this 20h+ camaping every 4 months just to get to endgame? Would you like to run this several times per league even?
As most PoE1 players are fed up with its campaign, this one is 3times longer.

We already know that ruthless is not popular in POE1. I don't think the current POE2 balancing and design philosophy will be either. Player retention of the current version of POE2 will reveal a lot is all I'm saying.

To people who keep saying "muh ruthless" do you just want a bunch of junk to drop? Then your slots are filled with rares, and you still feel unfulfilled with the meta build from youtube, just like in poe1. It's not ruthless, it's just the design of this game. And it's a good one. I crafted much of my gear. I'm happy to find good new white bases and try crafting them.

By the way end of act 2, I'm full kitted in rares I've crafted or found anyway. So much for ruthless.

A lot of poe fans don't want an actual game to play. That's the place this storied series ended up in over the years.
I am loving the game and only really have 2 issues with it:
1. Too many boss fights, I think this ruins epic feeling on encountering a boss. There should be 2 to max 3 bosses per act.
2. One shots in boss fights should not exist in a game with stats and builds. Why even have stats if certain abilities 1 shot you even if you have full defensive build.

Besides those points which I really hope are addressed, I love the general difficulty, love the reduced loot, the lower power fantasy, etc.
Anyone who was dead tired of the meaningless gameplay of POE1 knew that there would be big push back by some of the streamers and more vocal players who would now have to actually think and use some positional tactics and critical thinking.

Zoomers want to zoom, but right now the game is slightly too over tuned at the early game for newer players with not enough rewards
Agree 100%!

1 question. What would be the point of making a competition for your own game? It would be stupid on GGG's part to make it play the same. They already have braindead one, its time for something new.
