POE2 isn't "Hard." It's unfun.

Do people really like mouse movement rather than WASD? Mouse movement lacks precision and the ability to aim and move easily. Can't tell you how many exarch balls hit me because I didn't move to the exact pixel I thought I clicked on. Things like that aren't going to happen with WASD.

Low damage is a valid complaint, I could see later bosses taking way too long without an optmized build, which no one understands any of them yet because there are no real builds except theory right now.

It fucks up my muscle memory and makes it annoying when I have to press a lot of buttons already. Accuracy can be solved with a stop button, which they finally added, more or less. I hate WASD with a passion and it ruined Guild Wars 2 for me, too, after all the combat updates that added more skills.

I feel almost the exact opposite of this: I find mouse movement to be way more precise and, above all, fluid. Even when I've been using a freaking touchpad for most of my PoE 1 gaming life. WASD movement is too boxy for me
Starting anew....with PoE 2

I'm in the same boat. Back to PoE just that little bit more jaded.
Honestly, Im a dark souls god. And this game is perfect for me. I love punishment!
Fuck this game

Sadly this game is so huge dissapointment. Not an arpg but bad souls like game with horrible dodge roll and boss fight after another. Bosses are sponges with no rewards. Loot in general is horrible. Even D4 feels great game after this nightmare.

Are you going to play every 3 months, going through this whole campaign with various ‘soul bosses’ every time you want to enjoy a new season in the end game? It's the same as me telling you ...

Hey, to progress past lvl 20 in the elden ring you need to kill the Godskin duo... good luck.... and don't forget, you won't have any items to make them sleep.
Yeah POE 2 kinda sucks not going to lie. I love doing hc in poe1 and i even did ruthless with gold and it was fine. But melee mace in poe2 is the worst experience ive ever had in gaming besides. I really like POE2 graphics and the movement is fluid. But its extremely not fun. Too grindy, too punishing with very little rewards. I hate all the melee skills that the warrior has. What makes it even worse is that you cant even heal in the mdidle of a fight after using a few flask charges. Cant teleport to return with flask charges. In fat I had more fun with the two gargoyles from elden ring ping ponging me around than just using basic attack bc basic attack is the highest dps atm. Ive never been so disappointed honestly.

Ive tried:
minion witch: shes fine but minions are so brittle despite taking all thne defensive nodes. They just die.
mercenary: cant deal with swarms, but is pretty good as a concept with the controller.
monk: i dont enjoy hitting a bell
maruader: worst gaming experience ive had in a very long time

I cant imagine doing this every league for the next 10-12 years like ive done with POE1. Its not that its too hard, its just not fun playing. I dont want to roll a million times to hit and chiop away for 20 mins the sanctum not sanctum boss.

I guess ill just have to wait for the next poe1 league

Played all day yesterday and this morning. Tried several classes, respeced for more defense, shield, health, offense, everything.

It would be one thing if the game gradually progressed in challenge in a fun way. It would even be OK if as you approached end game there were tiers of encounters that really pushed even the most professional full time gamer to the limits.

If I couldn't defeat that content, I would at least still have a lot of game that I could play instead. This game starts you out on a mission to punish from moment one. It's not fun.

I am sick to death of every game trying to be dark souls. I've heard people saying that POE1 was "hard" in the beginning. First of all, no it wasn't - not like this. I wanted a game the felt like an evolution of POE1 or ARPGS in general. This has totally transformed it into the kind of game that is NEVER fun for me to play, and excludes me from enjoying the game at all.

I'm just gutted. It's such a disappointment.

The game is great. It's not meant for everyone. You are on your travels to another easier game. Peace.
I beat E.T. on Atari when I was 5. When it came out. This is what I do.
