Hi All
Here is the 100% solution to the freezing issue: Disable Hyper-Threading (Intel) or SMT (AMD) in the BIOS.
How to disable it in the BIOS:
Restart your computer and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings. This is usually done by pressing Del, F2, or a similar key during startup (check your motherboard manual if unsure).
Navigate to the Advanced Settings, CPU Configuration, or a similar menu.
Look for an option labeled Hyper-Threading, SMT, or CPU Logical Processors.
Set the option to Disabled.
Save the changes (usually by pressing F10) and exit the BIOS.
Restart your computer.
Glad to help

Hey everyone, i had the pc freeze while loading screen since launch and been tryng to fix since day one but nothing was definitive repair, untril i tried this metod of
Disable Hyper-Threading (Intel) or SMT (AMD) in the BIOS. 3 hours playing so far and 0 crashes, whoever asks about the difference in performance, I found the differences almost insignificant, only the % cpu usage increased considerably but nothing crazy, considering everything I believe that disabling SMT was my solution and will be lettin disable until a definitive repair.

non loading screen issue. But hes downvoted and told that his pc was already faulty and POE2 only exposed the fault.

I didn't encounter a single crash or issue playing for 5 days on my old pc, just got a new pc hours ago on the latest windows update and within 3 loading screens in act 2 my pc completely froze needing a hard reset. Maybe it was the latest poe patch, maybe it's the windows version, I have no idea but please fix this asap as I'm dying to play, but literally can't as I won't risk something happening to my new pc

After getting approximately 10 crashes per hour and trying everything I got a solution for myself.
Disabling 2 cores didn’t work for me at first. Even disabling random cores didn’t work. So, I entered the game and disabled multi thread option (the game only uses one core and one thread) I checked which one the game was using. For me was CPU6 CPU7. I unchecked the multi thread thing in game went to task manager and disabled that core (CpU6 CpU7). Worked for me. No crashes no freeze. Max settings - ~ 180fps. I’m going to use this “solution” in the meantime
how can i know what cpu the game is using?

On my 47th restart today since launch, which I have had to do by holding down power button which surely cannot be good for the PC.
Please fix ASAP, i am unable to stream on twitch because of it, because it keeps crashing and i have to keep restating my stream like once an hour!
