POE 2 Complete PC Freeze while loading screen

For some reason, the issue seemes solved for me, was continously freezing like everyone on this thread.

I've set Vulkan for a cuple of days and the problem seemed lees frequent but for today i haven't had a freeze for more than 6 hours.

Didn't touch anytihng though, still using vulkan.
I bought the game 2 days ago, played for 14 hours, crashed about 30+ times then asked for a refund. As another guy said, the game shouldn't have left alpha given the number of messages on this post.

For those who can play, enjoy ! The game looks really fun.

Personally I'm not going to risk damaging my PC, I'll come back when it's fixed (hopefully before release).

It's been mentioned, but you can 100% resolve the issue with Process Lasso. Just use the CPU Affinity option to deny the game from having access to 2 cores. Then at worst the game freezes and you can end it in task manager.

This is a temporary solution for a problem that needs to be fixed ASAP.

Maybe that could help !

so i uninstall the version ( pre download stand alone client ) and claimed the steam key to install it on steam.

after the install i took this steps:

Open your Game Library on Steam.
Right-click on your game.
Select Properties from the menu.
In the Properties menu, select 'Local Files' from the left-hand panel.
On the Local Files page, select 'Verify integrity of game files'
Steam will then verify your files. ...
Once Steam is finished, start the game

since then, no crashes

maybe it works for you!

Dude, it's just mmm, there's no internet, you call to provider and reboot router. Bam, problem gone. Feel free to return and write again when it will hang.

I did ( i tried BES and CPU affinity option ), but it's not a viable solution the game keep freezing even if you don't have to reboot your PC it's annoying and we shouldn't have to do this kind of thing to just play a game.
Same issue here

For me it made things even worse :( PC wont completely lock up and I can end the process in the task manager, but the game just insta freezes everytime after character select, so I cant even play
I found some entries in the Event Viewer about "Game Mode".
For me currently, it seems that disable "Game Mode" from Windows help.
Even with Windowed Fullscreen.

In addition, I set "Run as Admin" and "Disable fullscreen optimization" in the compatible tab from both EXE-Files:
..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Path of Exile 2

PathOfExile_x64Steam.exe
PathOfExileSteam.exe

Running POE2 with DirectX12.
