[0.3] Chronomancer Megathread. WIP.

Meanwhile, i've made a revision of the secondary weapon set.

Previously, we were using Curse duration/magnitude + skill duration for time freeze. This way we were getting huge magnitude Elemental curse, and strong temporal chains, if they were with Heightened curse.

This approach is still strong for bosses.

I have both curses in blasphemy, so i don't need curse magnitude/duration at all on a 2nd WS.

And the thought flied to my head before i went to sleep - to scale the exposure instead of curse mag/duration.

Difference is (on bosses only):

1) Strong curse + no exposure passives bomb: 61% + 32% reduced res.

2) No curse passives + strong exposure: 22% + 61% reduced res. Needs 60 more spirit, but frees 1 skill gem slot.

So, strong ele curse is still better for bosses, but during the mapping we don't really use it at all. Just a bossing/ritual thing.

For the exposure - i, too, rarely use bomb outside of bosses, but have curse active all the time in Blasphemy during the mapping. This is better by far for warp gameplay.

Idk, if a stronger curse can replace Blasphemy one, and i don't wanna check bc of Blasphemy bug. If it breaks, i have to uncut another gem.

So our 0.1 Chrono is back???

Dudes on poe2.ninja are playing it (w/ foci tho), like those 300-1000k comet damage with 9-10k es:

https://poe.ninja/poe2/builds/abyss?class=Chronomancer&sort=dps

So it's kinda possible. Sounds expensive af tho.

Personally, I'm still playing with a low-budget lightning warp. Busy with a Silksong atm.

Clear (Infused Spark + Unleash clears half of the breach):

Comet in CoA triggers almost on every pack:

Just an update, for anyone who's interested, on my pure lightning warp Flicker caster.

- DMG for warp can be scaled insanely high.
- mid Budget recoup sacrosanctum version gives decent survivability
- high budget cloak of defiance EB Version gives nearly hilarious amounts of survivability in maps with recoup and mana on kill.
- Bosses can still one shot u in both versions.
- cast on crit let's you auto blink through whole maps. The more dense you have the faster you are. Breach and abyss are very nice here.
- it's the most fun build I ever played in poe2 maybe even Poe 1 (5000 hours)

About pure Cold - idk. I was playing fire in Act 1 (felt good), in Act 2 it fell behind, Act 3 was meh with lightning (got +3 staff), Act 4 was amazing with Bl+LW.

Edit: There were some leveling guides with Nova, but i guess, just going ED+Contagion is a decent way not to bother with infusions.

Yeah, CoC-Ball Lightning + LW is quite strong, surprisingly.

For anyone interested in gameplay and guide (by Light): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gl-Gl_98z_M

So far, we have plenty of decent builds here:

- CoC-BL+LW.
- Classic Cold CoC-Comet.
- Arc/Spark.
- Incinerate.
- Infusion.

I kinda like my build too, but I'm definitely falling behind bc of currency issues - still busy with a Silksong, so just doing a couple of maps per day while my controller is charging.

But, in general, endgame chronos are all good.

So, as I expected. It just feels worse than early spear I did. I'll just keep zooming with a damn bow instead, then respec at some point.
Damn.

Xesht 100 splinters (no upgrades): https://youtu.be/SY3TX9HDDRg

Literally, 0.1 build with extra steps (just CoA instead of CoC, and i forgot about invocation).

Need to farm smth, hard to scale with no currency.

Ok, wasn't been here for a while.

For now i have 4 different setups for Cold Chrono:
- Low budget ice nova + frost bolts, works fine, nothing crazy, was capable of doing Xesht 2 just with frost bolts and flame wall.

- Actual setup with CoA Comets, clearing is insane because how easy Ice Nova freeze enemies and builds lots of energy. Require some budget, but nothing crazy, like 5-15Div. Used Elemental Equilibrium to generate lots of Fire Infusions for Comet.

Having staff with Extra Fire/Lightning Damage makes Ice Nova ignite and shock sometimes generating even more energy. Could do T3 Xesht and T3 Ritual boss (With CoA), couldn't do T3 Expedition boss because he just spam skills everywhere.

- Same CoA setup but with Maligaro gloves, slightly more damage and CoC works better for bosses, while CoA is still better for clearing.

- Recoup Setup, i went "budget" setup with Ice Nova and Staff.

People mostly do it with Wand and Focus, some people go even further with maligaro gloves, and some go even more further by also doing frost bolt with snakepit. Require very high budget and very good gear, very hard to cap resists if you want to do wand, frostbolt, snakepit and maligaro.

Clearing on my "budget" recoup setup with Ice Nova is kinda worse than normal setup, i can't run Temp Chains, so mobs approach much faster, using Ice Nova with Spell Cascade is problematic, but seems fine with Astral Projection. Upside of that is it's not laggy like CoA Comets that cover whole screen xD

What is recoup setup really good at is pinnacle bosses, is simply stand still and just do damage.

Also recoup setup has infinite mana with Scold's Bridle helmet that grant up to 100% of manacost taken as physical damage, then you get a bit above 100% mana recoup and you trigger Comets infinitely. Plus Zenith 2 support that is insane for this setup, it give 30% more damage and also give 25% of manacost recoup.

Legit safest boss carry out there, you recoup more damage than you take, and you recoup more mana than you spend.

UPDATE:
Managed to make Frostbolt-Snakepit-Maligaro-Recoup setup, really expensive, but probably peak form of Cold Chronomancer. Will be making video on it soon, including "budget" setup.

Oh and i found good spot for Controlled Metamorphosis (again xD)

It's Medium-Small Ring, allow to take:
- Stormbreaker for 20% damage per ailment.
- Sudden Escalation for 16% CC and 8% Cast Speed.
- Roil for 25% AoE.
- Empowering Remnants if you using Elemental Equilibrium.
- Arcane Blossom and Soul Bloom for ES and Mana Recovery rate, but its for recoup setup only.
Hey, so im running the Ball lightning- LW build with spark for tricky sections and in general its going great, even at 4k es i feel things get abit sketchy sometimes though.

Has anyone got a set up that combines it with recoup? would it even be possible? sorry im alittle new to build crafting so not a clue where to start
