POE 2 early access paywall

30$ that practically not only give you Free Access but 300 points its very good Value.

If you cant give 30$ for a game that you gonna be playing for the next 10 years without needing to give a single cent then you are free to go buddy sorry.

They did this for PoE1. Think of it as a kickstarter campaign to fund the initial launch and recoup costs of the development.

It's not as if the early players are getting a super advantage over everyone else, as the characters will have their own legacy servers.

I'd like to point out, as much as I dislike the whole moaning about the early access being paid. What you wrote there is hilariously wrong.

Once you spend 30 bucks, to gain access, it's not free access anymore. It's access bought for 30 bucks. :) Other than that, I agree that it's likely going to be great value still.
I remember i had to pay for POE now i wont even get an invitation for beta. Good job treating the first supporters.

GGG could make early access completely free and people would still find a way to find complain. I guarantee it.
Hey, anyone has a spare key for a POE1 EA Supporter? :)

There's one little problem though: I don't need any store points. And why should I be forced to purchase points (or anything else for that matter), to gain beta testing access to a game that claims it is free to play?

Not sure if its possible to sound more entitled if you tried.

It was 13 or so years ago for POE 1, but it isn't now for POE 2 as the company is already on a very solid footing. I really didn't want to go there, but if you can read their financial statements you will understand.

my god, you going to play a game and you think its predatory for them to ask for money?

Yes, I'm playing it. Yes, I gave them money. Still, the free-to-play model is one of the most lucrative and also most predatory systems ever introduced to gaming. That they are selling keys for Early Access is another matter entirely.

Think of it as buying 300 shop coins for POE1 and getting a POE2 code for free then.
