Now you quote a new paper and you think are making counterarguments. Just stop. Review your post about when you quoted Petrovskaya & Zendle and address my complaint based on that alone, if you're going to.

Name dropping papers is not impressive. I'll assume from hereon that the opinions you formulate are not even your own.

Getting the vibes of arguing with a "green energy" promoter who categorically rejects any form of fossil/nuclear based energy production. Quotes some papers about numerous environmental hazards to sound more credible.

Regardless, enough, we'll agree to disagree.

And you're the promoter for fossil/nuclear based energy, right?
I might be, who knows.

If it is ok to milk your fans for money then you shouldn't complain when other companies are doing it. Simple

You should never complain of a company trying to get as much profit as it can. That is how a healthy economy works.. that and free competition without government regulations making impossible for new companies to compete.
Are you Really complaining LOL

No, the goal of that is to make you underestimate how much you are actually spending:

The conversion rate is not obscure, its 1$ = 10 points. You dont convert points to different points and those into different points. Thats what this paper is refferencing. You dont understand the things you tell others to read.

LOL, this level of naiveness is almost cute.

He makes a realistic comment and it gets branded "naive". The wonders of reddit.

That got nothing to do with the conversion rate of currency. It's how much perceived value is attributed to the in-game shop currency. Maybe read it correctly before you assert my incompetence.

"

Recent experiments revealed that the use of premium currencies increased consumer spending on in-game purchases. Consumers also reported a lower reluctance to pay for digital content with premium virtual currencies. Other studies have shown that the use of currencies, such as chips in gambling, instead of using real-world currency is associated with overspending but also gambling problems. In the video game sector, testing revealed that 92.3% of tested players who experienced a simulation of video games and who made in-game purchases via premium currencies and real currencies stated that it was more painful to pay in a real currency compared to a premium currency.

Literally what I quoted.
Gaming PC: Win 11, R7 7600X3D, RTX 4080, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, 7000 MB/s SSD, 3840x2160p 120Hz
Streaming PC: Win 11, i5-12400, RTX 3060, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL36, 7300 MB/s SSD, 1920x1080p 60Hz
Most of these are the same people that will willingly dish out $40-$100+ for lesser games with a much lower quality everything.

If you're struggling to find reason to pay a measly $30 to support a superb company for what is looking to be probably the best ARPG of this century, then I simply don't understand what world you've been living in.

The actual game is still free when it's released...if you cared about that then you would just wait, but you want to have your cake and eat it too, so you're going to act like a petulant child about it regardless. Shallow, hypocritical nonsense.

EH! I'm going to have to stay off these forums, I can tell it's going to turn into a massive cesspool going forward.
