POE 2 early access paywall

Can't post opinions here now? What, are you afraid you'll get a bad case of buyer's remorse or something?
I'm okay with the early access pay wall because it helps the Devs continue thier amazing work! And the people buying early access are the hardcore PoE players and lovers, I've been paying for a few years now and if it was $99.99 I would have paid it, I've been waiting for this game for so long. I can't tell you how happy I am.

lol no buyers remorse here. I got a key for my past support and bought a supporter pack to give my buddy a key.

Your opinion is a whiny one and isn't going to change anything. you have options to play and yet you choose to whine. lmao
Frankly it might have been better if GGG had switched to upfront cost for PoE2 instead of F2P. They showed they are a major player with PoE1 and they have the resources to actually be AAA now. Benefit being a lot of people could STFU about F2P hypocrisy/exploitative business models. Also it's not like the ARPG genre can't have paid MTX on top of game purchase. Thank Bli$$ard for that.

Why fix it if it aint broke? I doubt GGG has any desire to modify their business model when it's worked very well so far.

You aren't wrong I guess. I'm just a bit sick of the double standard of views on "triple A" games that charge/price gouge up the wazoo, bait-and-switch, play on FOMO, hype nothing burgers and release unfinished products at full retail cost. But then on the other side of the coin GGG charge a nominal fee for early access and oh boy hold your horses time to call the riot police because "it's a sleazy ploy for a game that's supposedly F2P" (as if F2P means nobody is going to pay anything and the company is a charity or something).

F2P is actually the most predatory model on the market. PoE 2 being pay to play instead of pay to test and then F2P would have been better.

dont forget, we're not only paying for early access, we're paying to be BETA TESTERS for the game lol.

and once the game is out, our characters/stash will be put in an "offline only" state where we still can continue playing with what we have but would encourage us to abandon them for the proper release.

Unethical isn't unethical If someone did something worse?
Let's just say GGG is no angel.

The only thing GGG have done I'm aware of and consider "predatory" in the last decade was the original mystery boxes that people legit spent hundreds of dollars on because they were indirectly encouraging gambling of real money. Well they changed them to be "no duplicate items" years ago which means they are still a waste of money (imo) but at least somewhat deterministic.

Outside of this, please do give us some details of what you mean about them being unethical?
