It is the same as Poe 1 beta.

Also, players always be the lab rat in for new mechanic in temp league.

They're projected to make millions from this, so I'd say it's pretty well thought out.

Besides, we receive an equal value in shop credits, so it's technically free access.

No so many people buy point only pack. They bought league supportor pack which is $30 that contains mtx and 300 points

The POE EA is behind a 30$ USD Paywall. That's correct. The game is however free as it has always been. Other than the PSN MTX xfer debacle, GGG is one of the most respected game companies i've ever experienced. I have absolutely no problem giving them 30$ for this content. I would hardly call this a beta. I would've paid triple that and they know it.

If you want to wait for the game to be released and of course free of charge, you can go play another free game while you wait.

Early Access is a way for people who want to beta test the game to do so while supporting its ongoing development. If people want to play for free you can upon the official release. I don't understand why this concept is so hard for people to understand. Getting angry over purchasing a 30$ beta key that gifts you 300 points for MTX and providing potentially hundreds of hours of content is so strange. I don't get where the entitlement is coming from.

Those points are worth nothing. You can't trade them, you can't sell them, you can't even refund them. They have no value. They are just part of a larger inherently predatory system.

Unless you have too many tab and all desire mtx are bought, points are still usable in-game

Yes, I'm playing it. Yes, I gave them money. Still, the free-to-play model is one of the most lucrative and also most predatory systems ever introduced to gaming. That they are selling keys for Early Access is another matter entirely.
