Neither game is nearly fun enough to ignore all the feedback regarding unskippable campaigns.

I highly doubt PoE 2 will change that the same way how it no longer fixes anything they promised it would for PoE 1.

The last few leagues I have played I actually ended up quitting incredibly early due to being burnt out of doing campaign.

Just cant do it anymore. Poe 2 will at least be fresh and I honestly think fewer acts with multiple difficulties feels better than long, slogs through something like PoE's 10 acts.

I would love some way to speed it up, because I blame the campaign for the last few times I quit 1 week into a league. By the time I make it to maps, even if I do, I'm already ready to just quit and move on, and that has happened quite a bit over the last year or 2.

I'm pretty sure im not the only player like this, who would actually play more during most leagues if I didnt have to slog through the campaign again. My friends who no longer play feel exactly the same way; they cant stand doing it again.

I definitely think they need a way to allow at least alts to skip the whole process after one character makes it through.

Given I play SSF (cause trades boring), that I hate running campaign compared to a dedicated Speedrunner and limited gear available...?

If I wanna do it fast im maybe around 4ish hours? Since I always, in each campaign run, question my life choices and quiting the League instead of completing the Twink Char, its more often than not 6 hours+

I cant describe detailed enough how much I haaaaaaate doing campaign runs just for a new Char.
Even double that when the Char idea turns out bad cause some reason. Or heck, the build simply isnt fun to play.
Having to run the campaign with optimal skills instead of what I want to play in maps (or simply cause that unique isnt available prior lvl 50) also cuts into any potential enjoyment.

Lets say its 6 hours each Char.
How lucky am I to be able to even play this long. My work and social life allow this. But imagine this with a family and kids around?
Those 6 hours are worth gold.
I wouldnt even think about wasting those in the campaign a second time each league.

And im only asking for it to be unlocked after certain goals reached.

It is so funny how people say they stopped playing because of the campaign and would have stayed in leagues if they would not have to. Actually i dont believe it :D. It just shows these people lack the attitude to grind through the game which is how it is designed from the core (Grinding gear games!?). This game is not made for players who let themselves hold back by a simple hurdle like a campaign. It is okay for you to enjoy it once in a while but it is designed not for you. And i am happy there is a game for people like me who do like the efforts.
The longterm motivation is not coming by getting all you want so easily. That is why i can play a D4 season and be finished after 1 week. That is not a good design.

Realistically you can do it in 7 hours. Normally I run it about 3-4 times in the first week due to decision paralysis on what to play and probably take about 6 hours on average. considering how strong (and cheap) things like goldrim and wonderlust are, there's no reason not to have them for a new character to level with. It's literally a skill issue and ggg is not budging that they want our choices to matter and be permanent, and the time spent on campaign is part of that.

Personally, I'm a huge fan of everyone having to start together on the beach.
Much like i was a huge fan of diablo2 ladder resets and everyone starting back in act1.

I'm a big dislike of the d4 skip campaign.

So im glad my opinion and taste lines up with the developers here.

I wouldn't be opposed to a system where if you already beat the campaign ONCE in that specific season, your SECOND character has some sort of skip.
However, a second character to me is already much faster and twinked with 7 league steps, MS temple belt, onslaught helm, tabula etc so its already really fast and OP, so im ok with not skipping it with alts too.

I hope the early levels will be a lot better, but personally I feel character creation should be at lvl 80 ready to go maps.
Those who flaunt their power disappear when the truly strong appear.
Campaign go brrr, its inconvenient sometimes yes, but in the end its alright because its still fun.
Bee funny to see devs troll it by making a alternative to campaign that takes literaly 30 -50 hours to go from 1-65 based on build but minimum dont matter how fast will take 30 hours
