Neither game is nearly fun enough to ignore all the feedback regarding unskippable campaigns.
Whole lotta people in here think both games are fun enough to ignore feedback, but I guarantee they'll pipe up with some feedback when they actually play it.
I don't feel like anybody has made a coherent argument against giving players an alternate experience to the campaign. What you need to gain access to it, what it will actually be, if it would be revisited periodically as more league content goes core are all questions that could be answered. They could also render that feedback moot just by making the campaign more fun. IGN : Reamus

You have feedback for a game you haven't even played yet. That is an oxymoron.

" Here we go again with the "none of the arguments that isn't in line with mine are valid". Listen dude, if you don't agree with those that try to provide a counter point, fine, that's your prerogative, but you sadly don't get to decide if that feedback is relevant or not, just as you are entitled to have your oppinion on the topic. I guess if you want a better reason, watch the interviews that Jonathan himself has done over the last few days. He touches on this in several of them. Would be a lot of fun to hear why you don't think the game director of GGG doesn't have a "coherent argument against giving players an alternate experience to the campaign" too. ;) *prepares popcorn* |

There should be an alternative way to level after the campaign, like Grim Dawn's crucible mode (or endless delve or whatever else) as long as it has a cost for your previous character. They don't want to do so because that diminishes a part of the game but as long as it's balanced to take roughly the same amount of time, I don't see the issue.
There are so many problems with speeding up the process though. It's not just a cost to you and your time, it's a major part of the in game economy. You might think that's stupid, but a lot of people would disagree with you. |

Many of us dont care. It takes like one night to speedrun the campaing with a new character in poe1.
I dont mind doing it at all. Also if you could just jump to level 60 and end-game then the economy would be saturated with maps and higher level stuff. You just need to accept reality that you have to see some little effort to play a new character. |

I like the Diablo 4 style of where you unlock everything for all your alts after you do it on your main character.
At least just the campaign awarded passive points you get from quest rewards, if anything just to get a jumpstart in your build trees. Windows 11 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

" You do get jump start for campaign with leveling items you save. And crafting currency. Makes second character much faster to level. I have no issues with current system and actually like it but i do get your point. |

" basically devs making content for campaign for years. diablo4 caters to instant gratification which usually make games boring, like using a helicopter to mount everest, and look at those other that climbs up and laugh at them for climbing when they could just take the heli. accomplishment means something for long term retention. |

Give me a way to shorten the campaign 2/3 once I got my 3rd 95+ Character in a League, resetted each new League, and im gonna be the happiest camper in the campaign.
No campaign stays "fun" the 50. time I highly doubt PoE 2 will change that the same way how it no longer fixes anything they promised it would for PoE 1. |

" The coherent argument is that is is a slippery slope! IF you can skip campaign..why not skip level 1 maps? Why not level 10 maps? Why not make you able to decide EXACTLY where you want to start including direclty at level 15 keystones? It is a FACT< undeniable that you need to have a cutpoint, and I have not seen any argument why skip the campaign is a good cut point. |
