Somehow its okay to make game harder.
Somehow its okay to make entire harder mode that is ruthless.
But when it comes to easy mode - just no, end of the world.
Yeah it's pretty sad. If we got ruthless mode and the game didn't just die or something then an easier mode won't be so bad either. And just like ruthless, nobody is telling you that you "have" to play this easier mode, I ignore ruthless, ssf and hc because I don't enjoy them. It's as simple as that.

It makes it easier to spot the trolls and instigators when the suggestion or opinion that they bash doesn't affect them.
Normal mode will just turn into a ghost town and then we will arrive at the same thing we are currently discussing. Needing more challenging content, but then having re-tractors saying its too challenging and they need ANOTHER mode to make it easier for them.
These suggestions are taking AWAY from the top end of players, because ... apparently they shouldn't be rewarded for their efforts, and just GIVEN to the lower end through a "easy mode".
I don't know what to say, I think you're worried that you will suffer some loss as a result of this and i can't do anything to help you with that, Perhaps give ruthless a try.
Adding in "easy mode" would take away from normal mode.

By creating an easy mode it harms everyone's experience with the game, and as posted above will harm the people who ask for it.
Its also a pattern that can be observed with OSRS "leagues", which are basically temp modes with higher drop rates etc. The bumps in Nov 2020, Jan 2022 and Nov 2023 are all these bumps and they all lead to drops in the comming months.
From my understanding this is why GGG is generally hesistant to put "easier" modes out anyhwere and why private leagues and race events are usually on the more restrictive rather than the less restrictive side compared to SC trade.
I dont want, and thousands dont want, development time to be wasted on something that has 0, no
Negative to do, with how the game, and its successor, POE2, is designed.
It would be a complete 180 from the deep design philosophy of this game being catered to a more hardcore and challenging crowd.
I have seen people upset about really silly things about where their money goes on this game.
"Oh man they said it would be an expansion, but now POE2 is a separate game I spent money thinking the later, I am upset about receiving a better product..."
Imagine the legitimate supporters though, upset about the company funding some silly mode for people who refuse to acknowledge skill issues on their end?
I would be annoyed if I bought a supporter pack, and then the company goes "you know what lets make an easy mode for all the people who refuse to build proper characters"
...
As discussed,
Play SC trade or Standard. Those modes already are majority easy if you want an easy mode.
Or find another game. Those are your choices.
Games not made, intentionally, for everyone. The games that try this fail miserably (my previous examples, and stnikoclauses data)
So you are arguing against real life scenarios and data.
"Nobody is trying to harm your personal experience here."
This quote, may seem harmless, but if you apply it generally then it doesn't make sense.
If this was the motto of ggg, then scssf should have a feature with item editor where you don't have to craft any of your own gear and have a unique vendor where you can just pick up a mageblood for free.
As long as you couldn't migrate to trade league then this doesn't harm anyones personal experience either.
The time setting up the mode modifiers would be minimal and it would only have to be done once. The argument that a casual mode would somehow suck up enormous development time and resources is just silly.

Exactly, that and adding an easier mode literally doesn't affect anyone who doesn't play it. It wouldn't impact anyone negatively, that's like saying hardcore or ruthless worsens the experience for people who don't play those gamemodes lol
