Chat GPT is the best thing to happen to this game for New Players

I rather put my trust in PoB.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

I mean....it wasn't guesswork. Its trial and error, coupled with observation and experience. Guesswork implies that you literally have no idea what anything does and that just isn't nor was it ever true.

While these tools are helpful, there are many that are totally reliant on them because they are completely unwilling or unable to think for themselves, observe for themselves, do the work themselves, that is required to actually "learn". That itself is a problem.

This statement is a real problem in my opinion:
"I have a friend who refused to play POE due to not being able to understand the complexity of the game. Introduced him to Chat GPT and he has managed to reach T8 maps on his own, this is impressive and wouldn't have been possible without chat GPT."

Not possible without chat GPT? Refused to play because lack of understanding? Its a run of the mill, generic arpg. What's there to understand beyond the most specialized and endgame content?

Run of the Mill ARPG?

POE is anything but that this is by far the most complex ARPG LMFAO
Look how Awesome my MTX Marauder RF looks

Or you could just...you know...use the poewiki that explains everything that exists in the game and not an AI that could possibly give you false information?Just a thought.

Err ChatGPT could replicate a troll that lead players getting muted.

I don't remember what the troll but Chris muted players spreading the misinformation. I think it was CI and Casting a Skill with Blood Magic. Or CI+EB and then drinking a manapotion damaging you.
I remember you could die in town and your character was bricked because you couldn't respawn in town.

It really isn't though......you get overwhelmed at first by the choices in the tree and skills. But after the initial shock, you build a character just like you would in any other game. Even has the same stats as most other games. AND it makes it easier with tags.

You can make complex builds with tons of tree travel and conversions and layers...but that shouldn't be something a new player is doing. They are setting themselves up for failure if they do that.

Out of curiousity, which other ARPG(s) do you think is/are at least equal to POE's complexity?

How is this even a question?Of course its D4, just look at the sheer complexity of their skill tree, it baffles me that you even have to ask.

Having to choose between 2 options?Got damn i'm already confused.

I wished I could say I didn't see this end to OP's forum career coming. Call me a psychic, but I saw it coming from a mile away lol.

The best thing for new players are guides on YT, especially ones that explain mechanics such as Betrayal with video examples. Text can only convey so much, and ChatGPT does NOT offer any visual stimuli whatsoever.

That, and the fact that you can never be 100% certain if the information it provides is accurate, makes ChatGPT unnecessary for learning the game. You might as well google the prompt and check the wiki, or Reddit threads about the same question.
The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.
